The present invention discloses a low cost bio-based full degradable film and preparation method thereof, the ratio of each component in parts by mass of the film is as follows: 15-25 parts of a polyglycolic acid, 25-35 parts of corn starch, 35-55 parts of poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate), 5 parts of a compatilizer, 3.75-12.25 parts of a starch plasticizer, 0.5-0.7 part of citric acid, 0.75-1.25 parts of acetyl tributyl citrate, 0.3-0.5 part of maleic anhydride, 0.2 part of antioxidant 164, and 0.2 part of 2-(2-hydroxyl-5-methylphenyl)benzotriazole. The low cost bio-based full degradable film provided by the present invention has a bio-based content, which can reach 30% or more, a lower cost, and a tensile strength exceeding a traditional PE thin film, and has very important significance for solving the problem of white pollution and promoting the popularization and application of full biodegradable materials.

THERMOPLASTIC STARCH AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
20200291137 · 2020-09-17 ·

Thermoplastic starch materials and methods of making the same are provided. The methods involve mixing a starch material, plasticizer and water in a low-shear mixer under conditions that will result in substantial gelatinization of the starch material. The melt formed within the mixer is discharged into an extruder for final processing. The methods prevent degradation of the starch material thereby resulting in the formation of a thermoplastic starch material having high strength, due at least in part to the preservation of the molecular weight characteristics of the starch, and improved elasticity due the ability to use higher water contents than conventional processes.

BIODEGRADABLE HYDROGEL

A hydrogel comprises one or more hydrosoluble polysaccharides which are cross-linked by cross-linking agents, wherein the cross-linking agents form covalent bonds with the polysaccharides, and wherein the cross-linking agents comprises humic and/or fulvic acids.

A thermoplastic starch composition acquired from compounding a mixture comprises starch-containing agricultural waste in 45 to 70% by weight of total composition that the agricultural waste contains starch content less than 50% in dry weight; thermoplastic synthetic polymer in 25 to 50% by weight of total composition; plasticizer in 1 to 10% by weight of total composition; and coupling agent in 1 to 5% by weight of total composition; wherein the compounding is performed at a first temperature which is higher than room temperature.

MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE AS A CROSSLINKING AGENT
20200270428 · 2020-08-27 ·

The present invention relates to a composition for use as an adhesive, paint, coating, resin, (surface) size, composite, gel or hydrogel, said composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose (MFC). In addition to microfibrillated cellulose, these compositions comprise at least one solvent, said solvent preferably comprising or consisting of water, and at least one compound that is (a) capable of polymerizing, or has already partly or fully, polymerized, and that (b) has at least two groups available for hydrogen bonding, preferably OH groups, that are capable of crosslinking with at least one functional group of the microfibrillated cellulose. In these compositions, the microfibrillated cellulose primarily functions as a crosslinking agent (while it is by no means excluded that the microfibrillated cellulose additionally has other functionalities, such as acting as viscosity modifier and/or thixotropic additive), integrating the compound that (a) is capable of polymerizing or that has already partly or fully, polymerized, and that (b) has at least two groups available for hydrogen bonding, into a gel-like three-dimensional network.
