Charging roller, and method of producing the same
An inventive charging roller (1) includes a roller body (2) which is formed of a crosslinked product of a rubber composition containing a rubber component including 30 to 70 parts by mass of GECO, 15 to 60 parts by mass of IR and not less than 1 part by mass of SBR and/or NBR based on 100 parts by mass of the overall rubber component and has an outer peripheral surface (5) finished in a finish-polished surface. An inventive production method includes the steps of: forming a roller body (2) from the crosslinked product of the rubber composition described above; and wet-polishing or mirror-polishing an outer peripheral surface (5) of the roller body (2) into a finish-polished surface.
Vulcanization composition for reducing allergenic potential and elastomeric articles formed therewith
This invention relates generally to vulcanization compounds and relates more specifically to vulcanization compositions with reduced allergenic potential that include accelerator compositions for vulcanizing elastomeric articles. Vulcanization compositions are disclosed that include a single fugitive dihydrocarbyl xanthogen polysulfide accelerator and a single aldehyde-aniline condensate accelerator.
Rubber composition for vulcanization molding, process for manufacturing the same and application thereof
A rubber composition for vulcanization molding which can be manufactured into a rubber product with good dimensional stability, good appearance and sufficiently light weight, a process for manufacturing the same, and applications thereof. A rubber composition for vulcanization molding containing hollow particles and a base rubber, wherein the hollow particles are composed of a thermoplastic resin shell and a thermally vaporizable blowing agent encapsulated therein and have a specified further expansion ratio, and the base rubber has a Mooney viscosity ML (1+4) ranging from 5 to 90 at 100 C. Also disclosed is a process for manufacturing the rubber composition, hollow particles used for manufacturing the rubber composition, a masterbatch including the hollow particles and a rubber product manufactured from the rubber composition.
FOAM HAVING IMPROVED FEELING DURING USE
A foam made of a specific material having superior properties and cosmetic products including the foam are disclosed.
PLASTICIZER IMPROVING DYNAMIC FATIGUE PERFORMANCE IN FIBER REINFORCED ELASTOMERS
The dynamic fatigue and hysteresis performances of fiber reinforced rubber compounds are compared using different plasticizers. Fiber reinforced rubber compounds including a non-linear functionalized fatty acid ester, preferably a trimellitate, and more preferably Tris (2-Ethylhexyl) Trimellitate (TOTM) are shown to demonstrate greatly improved dynamic fatigue and hysteretic performance as compared to reference fiber reinforced rubber compounds including conventional reference plasticizers such as Di-isodecyl phthalate (DIDP).
HIGHLY FIRE-RESISTANT EXPANDED POLYMERIC MATERIAL
A highly fire-resistant expanded polymeric material for thermal insulation, acoustic insulation and/or fire barrier contains rubber, expandable graphite, at least one alkaline earth metal component selected from alkaline earth metal carbonates, alkaline earth metal hydroxides, hydrates of either, and combinations thereof, and a component containing silica or a silicate. The expanded polymeric material is preferably manufactured by a process including decomposition of a chemical blowing agent.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LAMINATE, AND LAMINATE
To provide a laminate excellent in alkali resistance and interlaminar strength at high temperature, and a process for producing the laminate.
A process for producing a laminate, comprising producing a non-crosslinked laminate having a layer of a first composition containing a copolymer having fluorine atoms and a layer of a second composition containing a non-fluorinated elastic polymer, and crosslinking the first composition and the second composition to produce a laminate having a first layer formed of a crosslinked product of the first composition and a second layer formed of a crosslinked product of the second composition, wherein when the first composition and the second composition contains a common crosslinking aid, the absolute value of the crosslinking rate difference between the first composition and the second composition is at most 0.30.
Expansion system for flexible insulation foams
A flexible material for thermal and acoustical insulation comprising an expanded polymer (blend) based on at least one elastomer, wherein expansion is achieved by decomposition of a mixture of at least two chemical blowing agents, comprising the exothermic chemical blowing agent 4,4-Oxybis(benzenesulfonyl hydrazide) (OBSH) and at least one endothermic blowing agent.
POLYSACCHARIDE-ELASTOMER MASTERBATCH COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed herein are polysaccharide-elastomer masterbatch compositions and processes for preparing the masterbatch compositions. One method comprises a step of a) mixing i) an aqueous polysaccharide dispersion, or ii) a basic aqueous polysaccharide solution, with a rubber latex solution containing a rubber component to form a mixture. The method further comprises the steps of: b) coagulating the mixture obtained in step a) to produce a coagulated mass; and c) drying the coagulated mass obtained in step b). The masterbatch compositions are useful in preparing rubber-containing articles.
