Reinforced thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer film
A thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer film includes a continuous phase that includes a thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer and a nanoinclusion additive dispersed within the continuous phase in the form of discrete domains, wherein each discrete domain is elongated with a long axis, wherein the axes are aligned in the machine direction (MD) when the film is relaxed, and wherein the axes are aligned in the cross direction (CD) when the film is stretched in the CD. Also, an article includes the thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer film.
FOAM COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
Components for articles of footwear and athletic equipment including a foam are provided. The foam portion of the components and articles include a composition which includes a thermoplastic copolyester, the composition having a foam structure. A polymer layer is provided on at least on surface of the foam portion. The polymer layer can control or reduce the water uptake of the foam portion. Methods of making the compositions, foams, and components are provided, as well as methods of making an article of footwear including one of the foam components. In some aspects, the foams and foam components can be made by injection molding, or injection molding followed by compression molding.

PLASTIC DEPOLYMERIZATION USING FLUORINATED ALUMINA
A method of depolymerizing plastics using a fluorinated alumina catalyst is described herein. The method reduces the energy required for the depolymerization process while achieving improved depolymerization results.
PLASTIC DEPOLYMERIZATION USING HALLOYSITE
A method of depolymerizing plastics using a halloysite catalyst is described herein. The method reduces the energy required for the depolymerization process while achieving improved depolymerization results.
POLYOLEFIN DEPOLYMERIZATION WITH METAL OXIDES
Methods of depolymerizing polyolefin-based material into useful petrochemical products using metal oxides and heat are described. The metal oxides improve the depolymerization reaction by decreasing the onset temperature for the depolymerization, which results in a higher depolymerization rate and a shorter residence time in the depolymerization unit, allowing for a predictable depolymerization reaction, and decreasing the branching or aromatic formations in the product.
Controlled polymer foaming by tuning surface interactions between blowing agents and minerals
A method of producing a polymer foam may include providing a polymer composition, introducing an alkaline earth metal silicate into the polymer composition, and foaming the polymer composition using a gas to form a polymer foam. A method of producing a polymer-matrix may include providing a polymer composition, nucleating the polymer composition with an alkaline earth metal silicate, and using a blowing agent to form a polymer foam from the polymer composition. The alkaline earth metal silicate may facilitate nucleation of the cells in the polymer foam. A polymer foam composition may include a polymer-based foam matrix and an alkaline earth metal silicate within a cell of the polymer-based foam matrix.
Resin molded article
A resin molded article includes a first resin formed of a polyolefin, reinforcing fibers, a second resin selected from a group consisting of a resin containing at least one of an amide bond and an imide bond, a resin containing an ester bond, and a resin having a linking group containing a sulfur atom, and a compatibilizer. The absolute value of difference in melting temperature between the first resin and the second resin is 130 C. or lower. At least a portion of the second resin forms domains in the first resin. The domains include first domains that do not contain the reinforcing fibers and second domains that contain the reinforcing fibers and that include a coating layer formed of at least a portion of the second resin on the periphery of the reinforcing fibers. The second domains include a second domain A containing one of the reinforcing fibers and a second domain B containing two or more of the reinforcing fibers.
