An interlayer comprised of a thermoplastic resin, at least one high refractive index plasticizer and, optionally, a conventional plasticizer. The use of a thermoplastic resin, a high refractive index plasticizer, and, optionally, a conventional plasticizer reduces or minimizes the optical defects caused by different refractive indices without sacrificing other characteristics of the interlayer.
Polyvinyl acetal film and uses thereof
Provided is a polyvinyl acetal film which, when used as an intermediate film for a laminated glass, can provide a laminated glass that exhibits a low degree of yellowness and excellent surface appearance, and which is thus useful as a sealing material or intermediate film that can prolong the life of a laminated glass provided with a solar cell or a functional unit. Further, the content of corrosion-causing substance in the polyvinyl acetal film is low, so that the polyvinyl acetal film permits high-temperature lamination and thus ensures excellent productivity. Also provided are a solar cell module and a laminated glass prepared using the polyvinyl acetal film. A plasticized polyvinyl acetal film which comprises 15 to 60 parts by mass of a plasticizer having a total number of 28 or more of carbon atoms and oxygen atoms constituting a molecule based on 100 parts by mass of a polyvinyl acetal resin, and which has an acid value of 5.0 meq/kg or less.
Poly(vinyl acetal) resin compositions, layers, and interlayers having enhanced optical properties
A tapered interlayer comprising at least one resin layer and a having tapered zone with a wedge angle of at least 0.13 mrad. The first resin layer comprises a first poly(vinyl acetal) resin and at least one RI balancing agent. The refractive index of the first resin layer is at least 1.480.
INTERMEDIATE FILM FOR LAMINATED GLASS
Provided is an intermediate film for laminated glass which is composed of a composition having both a sufficiently reduced glass transition temperature and sufficiently high tan . Also provided is an intermediate film for sound-insulating laminated glass having improved sound-insulating properties not only in the coincidence region but also in the mass-dominated region.
This intermediate film for laminated glass is composed of a composition (A) containing 100 parts by mass of at least one resin (a1) selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins, and 10-1000 parts by mass of at least one compound (a2) selected from the group consisting of specific compound 1 through compound 4.
LAMINATED GLAZING
A laminated glazing, including a first pane having an inner and an outer surface, a second pane having an inner and an outer surface, and a thermoplastic interlayer. The thermoplastic interlayer connects the inner surface of the first pane to the inner surface of the second pane, the thermoplastic interlayer is formed from at least one thermoplastic film layer containing at least 10% of recycled material, and at least one of the inner surface of the first pane or the inner surface of the second pane is provided with a functional coating including a topcoat layer based on a mixed nitride of silicon and zirconium.
INTERLAYER FOR LAMINATED GLASS AND LAMINATED GLASS
There is provided an interlayer film for laminated glass with which positional displacement between two lamination glass members can be prevented. The interlayer film for laminated glass according to the present invention is arranged between a first lamination glass member and a second lamination glass member to obtain laminated glass, the interlayer film contains a thermoplastic resin and a plasticizer, when, in the MD direction of the interlayer film, a birefringence index of the first surface part, a birefringence index of the second surface part, and a birefringence index of the center part are defined as ?nMDA, ?nMDB, and ?nMDC, respectively, ?nMDA, ?nMDB, and ?nMDC each are 0.50?10.sup.?3 or less, and the glass transition temperature of the interlayer film is 33? C. or less or the content of the plasticizer in the interlayer film is 35 parts by weight or more relative to 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin in the interlayer film.
INTERLAYER FOR LAMINATED GLASS AND LAMINATED GLASS
There is provided an interlayer film for laminated glass with which protrusion of an interlayer film portion in the TD direction can be suppressed at the time of producing laminated glass. In the interlayer film for laminated glass according to the present invention, when, in the MD direction of the interlayer film, a birefringence index of the first surface part, a birefringence index of the second surface part, and a birefringence index of the center part are defined as ?nMDA, ?nMDB, and ?nMDC, respectively, the interlayer film satisfies the first requirement: ?nMDA being larger than ?nMDC, ?nMDB being larger than ?nMDC, and ?nMDA, ?nMDB, and ?nMDC each being 0.12?10.sup.?3 or less or the interlayer film satisfies the second requirement: ?nMDA being larger than ?nMDC, ?nMDB being larger than ?nMDC, ((?nMDA??nMDC)/(?nMDC))<0.5, and ((?nMDB-?nMDC)/(?nMDC))<0.5.
