Composites comprised of these functionalized carbon fibers embedded in a polymeric matrix are also described. Methods for producing the functionalized carbon fibers and composites thereof are also described.
THERMOSETTING RESIN COMPOSITION AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The present invention relates to a thermosetting resin composition and application thereof, said thermosetting resin composition comprising: A: a styrene-butadiene-styrene triblock copolymer having a star-shaped structure; B: a linear olefin resin containing 1,2-ethylene, and a modifier thereof, C: at least one resin or small molecule compound substituted with an acrylic group; taking the total mass of component A, component B, and component C as 100%, the added amount of said component A is 3%-85%, the added amount of said component B is 10%-95%, and the added amount of said component C is 1%-70%. The resin composition provided by the present invention does not undergo phase separation under initiator conditions, and has high heat resistance and a relatively low dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent value, and is capable of providing the desired dielectric properties and thermal reliability of a copper-clad plate.
Biodegradable Shading Paint
The invention pertains to a biodegradable coating composition, comprising a crosslinked starch and a filler, and optionally a polyol plasticizer, as well as to outside structures such as greenhouses, comprising a coating layer obtained by drying the said coating composition. The invention furthermore pertains to removal of the coating layer using a targeted cleaning composition.
Polyester film comprising a polymeric phosphonate flame retardant
A polyester film comprising a polymeric phosphonate flame retardant in an amount of from about 1.0 to about 25.0 wt % by total weight of the film and further comprising at least one metal cation selected from the group consisting of Group I and Group II metal cations.
Method of improving adhesion of carbon fibers with a polymeric matrix
A method of making a solid composite containing carbon fibers embedded in a polymeric matrix, the method comprising admixing carbon fibers with a polymer precursor resin, and curing the polymer precursor resin to form a cured polymeric matrix that contains said carbon fibers embedded therein, wherein said carbon fibers have covalently bonded on their surfaces a partially cured epoxy-containing or amine-containing sizing agent, wherein at least a portion of epoxide groups or amine groups in the sizing agent are available as uncrosslinked epoxide groups or amine groups, which corresponds to a curing degree of epoxide groups or amine groups of no more than about 0.6.
PACKAGE, AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING AND FOR USING SELF-ADHESIVE
Provided is a method for producing a self-adhesive to be arranged on a package comprising a space to store contents and an opening by which the space and an outside communicate, wherein the opening is repeatedly openable and sealable by the self-adhesive that consists of a cross-linking material of a resin composition containing a (meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer resin having a glass transition temperature of 22.8 C. or more, and a crosslinking agent. The method comprises making the resin composition that contains the (meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer resin, and the crosslinking agent, the resin composition being either emulsion or dispersion; and cross-linking the resin composition.
