CUSHIONING ELEMENT AND SHOE
Described are methods for manufacturing a plastic component, in particular a cushioning element for sports apparel, a plastic component manufactured with such methods, for example a sole or a part of a sole for a shoe, and a shoe with such a sole. The method for the manufacture of a plastic component includes loading a mold with a first material includes particles of an expanded material and fusing the surfaces of the particles by supplying energy. The energy is supplied in the form of at least one electromagnetic field.
Composition Comprising Polyester and Modified Hardwood Lignin
The present invention discloses a composition that may be extruded or injection moulded, comprising a chemically modified hardwood lignin and a polyester. The chemically modified hardwood lignin constitutes 10 to 50 weight-% of the total weight of the composition.
RESIN FILM
Provides is a resin film containing a poly(3-hydroxyalkanoate) resin component. A tensile modulus of the resin film is from 500 to 2000 MPa. A swelling degree of the resin film, as measured by immersion of the resin film in methyl ethyl ketone for two hours, is from 1 to 5. Preferably, the poly(3-hydroxyalkanoate) resin component is a mixture of at least two poly(3-hydroxyalkanoate) resins differing in types and/or contents of constituent monomers.
LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER FILM AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER FILM
A liquid crystal polymer film that includes a liquid crystal polymer having an endothermic peak temperature that exceeds 330° C., the endothermic peak temperature being a temperature resulting from when the liquid crystal polymer is heated to 400° C. in an inert atmosphere, then cooled to room temperature at a temperature decreasing rate of 40° C./min or more, and measured using a differential scanning calorimeter while being heated again at a temperature increasing rate of 40° C./min.
Biologically active polymers prepared via reactive extrusion
Disclosed herein are methods of making active, food-grade packaging resins using a reactive extrusion step that involves reacting a polymeric material with a ligand and one of a cross-linking agent and a radical initiator in an extruder, under temperature and pressure conditions effective to cause covalent binding of the ligand to the polymeric material by a linker that is the reaction product of the cross-linking agent or by direct bond formation between the ligand and the polymeric material, and then extruding the active, food-grade packaging resin. Also disclosed are the active packaging resins obtained from such methods, methods of forming food packaging materials from the active packaging resins, the food packaging materials that contain the active packaging resins, and methods of packaging perishable food in those food packaging materials.
Method for producing a foamed granulate and use thereof
The invention relates to a method in which a polyester melt containing one or more polyesters is produced, the polyester melt being foamed by a blowing agent and a foamed granulate is produced from the foamed polyester melt. The intrinsic viscosity (IV) of the polyester melt is reduced by the blowing agent about at least 0.05 dl/g, measured according to ASTM D4603, and the IV of the foamed granulate is then increased by means of a solid phase polycondensation (SSP).
HIGH-FREQUENCY TRANSMISSION LCP FILM AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The disclosure discloses a high-frequency transmission LCP film and preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) separately performing acetylation on monomers to obtain acetylated monomers; (2) performing high-temperature polymerization on the acetylated monomers, phenolic resin, acetic anhydride and zinc acetate, and performing pulverization to obtain liquid crystal copolyester; (3) ball milling the liquid crystal copolyester, an inorganic filler, a silane coupling agent and a glass fiber and mixing to obtain a mixture; and melt-plasticizing the mixture to form a film after cooling, performing longitudinal and transverse synchronous stretching, then winding and slitting the film to obtain a high-frequency transmission LCP film. In the disclosure, by adjusting the type and ratio of acetylated monomers and adding phenolic resin, a regular fibrous structure is obtained; and by adding an inorganic filler, a silane coupling agent and glass fibers, its mechanical properties are enhanced and dielectric loss is reduced, thereby obtaining an LCP film with low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss factor which can be applied to the fields of electronics, electricity, optical fiber, 5G communication and the like.
FOAM SHEET, PRODUCT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FOAM SHEET
A foam sheet includes a composition containing an aliphatic polyester resin, and the foam sheet has a surface roughness Sa (i.e. arithmetic average height) of 81 μm or higher.
METHOD FOR PROCESSING TEXTILE WASTE INTO RECYCLED PLASTIC GRANULE
The invention relates to a for recycling fabric into plastic granule for plastic manufacturing processes, the method comprising the steps of: a) Collecting fabric comprising fabric fibers b) Pulverizing the fabric into a powder of fabric particles c) Pelletizing the powder with a binder such that fabric pellets comprising the powder of fabrics are formed d) Extruding a mixture of the fabric pellets and a plastic compound into plastic granule.
BETAPROPIOLACTONE AND FUNCTIONALIZED BETAPROPIOLACTONE BASED POLYMER SYSTEMS
Disclosed herein are polymers, copolymers and polymer systems based on polypropiolactones which can be biodegradable and can enhance the recyclability of polymer systems, which can be functionalized to introduce desired functionality into the polymers and/or which may optionally be prepared from renewable raw materials. Disclosed are novel functionalized beta propiolactones. Some of the novel functionalized beta propiolactones have functional groups bound to the ring structure of the lactone that provide improved polymer systems. Disclosed are novel homopolymers of the functionalized beta propiolactones. Disclosed are novel copolymers based on the functionalized beta propiolactones with beta propiolactone or other monomers which copolymerize with the functionalized beta propiolactones.
