Cross-Linkable Polymer, Hydrogel, and Method of Preparation Thereof

The invention relates to a cross-linkable polymer including a base polymer including functional groups at least some of which have been reacted with a first organic molecule including a cross-linkable unit and with a second organic molecule capable of bonding to organic and/or inorganic substrates. The invention further relates to a hydrogel including the cross-linkable polymer that includes cross-linkable polymer strands, wherein at least some of the cross-linkable units of different cross-linkable polymer strands have reacted to form a covalent bond thereby forming a covalently linked network. The invention further relates to a method for the preparation of the hydrogel and to the use of the hydrogel.

POLYROTAXANE COMPOSITION AND SENSOR

The present invention provides a sensor that exhibits a small effect on a detection target during detection, a high detection sensitivity, a wide dynamic range for detection, and a small change after repeated detection, as well as a composition suitable for use in the sensor.

The composition is a polyrotaxane composition containing two polyrotaxane cyclic molecules crosslinked with a crosslinking agent present between the molecules, wherein the polyrotaxane composition exhibits a hysteresis loss of 10% or less, an elongation at break of 200% or more, an initial Young's modulus of 5 MPa or less, and a relative dielectric constant of 8.0 or more. The sensor includes a film formed of the aforementioned polyrotaxane composition, and elastomer-made electrode layers disposed on both surfaces of the film.

A flame-retardant rigid polyurethane foam contains a flame retardant, the foam having a ratio of the maximum peak intensity ratio (P1) of the foam after moist heat treatment of the foam for one week at a temperature of 80° C. and a humidity of 85% to the maximum peak intensity ratio (P2) of the foam before this moist heat treatment of 85% or more (P1/P2x100).
