Reinforced Polyolefin Composition Comprising Recycled Plastic Material
Provided is a polyolefin composition including a blend of recycled plastic material including polyproplyene and polyethylene, which is recovered from a waste plastic material derived from post-consumer and/or post-industrial waste; glass fibres; talc; at least one coupling agent; and at least one impact modifier. The polyolefin composition has a tensile modulus of at least 4 GPa, and an impact strength of at least 10 kJ/m.sup.2.
COMPOSITION FOR STRIKER CAP WITH IMPROVED NOISE AND SEPARATION FORCE, STRIKER CAP, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Disclosed are a composition for a striker cap with improved noise and separation force, a striker cap, and a method for manufacturing a striker cap. The method for manufacturing a striker cap includes: preparing a first compound by compounding a first polyamide resin and an inorganic filler; preparing a second compound by compounding a second polyamide resin and a polyolefin-based additive; blending the first compound and the second compound to obtain an admixture; and injecting the admixture.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Provided are a composite material and a reinforced fiber. The composite material includes a fiber and a plurality of carbon nanotubes disposed on a surface of the fiber. The carbon nanotubes adhere directly to the surface of the fiber.
Resin composition for masterbatch
A masterbatch of a liquid additive is provided, the resin composition for the masterbatch comprising (a) a block copolymer or a hydrogenated product thereof, the block copolymer containing a polymer block having a vinyl aromatic compound as a main component and a polymer block having a conjugated diene compound as a main component, and 40 to 100 parts by mass of a polyolefinic resin and 100 to 150 parts by mass of an ethylene.Math.α-olefin copolymer with respect to 100 parts by mass of the (a) component, wherein the kinematic viscosity at 100° C. is 10 to 5,000 mm.sup.2/s; the ethylene molar content is in the range of 30 to 85 mol %; and the molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) for the molecular weight measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) with reference to polystyrene is not more than 2.5.
RESIN COMPOSITION RECYCLER
Provided is a resin composition recycler for recycling a resin composition including a resin and an additive. The resin composition recycler includes: an extrusion reactor that hydrolyzes the resin included in the resin composition to obtain a depolymerized product; and a vaporizer that thermally decomposes the depolymerized product to vaporize a monomer, and the extrusion reactor comprises: a first introducer that introduces the resin composition; a second introducer that introduces water; and a screw that mixes the resin composition with the water.
MICROPOROUS POLYMER FIBERS AND THEIR USE IN ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION
A porous composition comprising a porous organic polymer (POP) fiber having a diameter of at least 100 nm and a length of at least 1 mm and pores having a size within a range of 10 nm to 5 microns distributed over the surface and volume of the POP fiber, wherein the organic polymer is insoluble in water and may be selected from, e.g., polyolefins, polyesters, polyamides, and polyacrylonitrile. Also described herein is a method for producing a POP fiber comprising: (i) forming a precursor fiber from a blend of an organic polymer and lignin, wherein the lignin is present in the form of domains within the precursor fiber; and (ii) washing the precursor fiber with a solvent that dissolves the lignin to result in the POP fiber. Also described herein is a method for removing oil from an oil-water mixture comprising contacting the oil-water mixture with the POP fibers.
Polymer composition for selective sintering methods
A polymer composition can be used in selective absorbing sintering, SAS, or selective inhibition sintering, SIS, methods. The polymer of the polymer composition has open mesopores, where a cumulative pore volume distribution of the mesopores, measured according to DIN 66134, is at least 0.01 cm.sup.3/g.
