The present invention relates to a particulate carbon material that can be produced from renewable raw materials, in particular from biomass containing lignin, comprising: a MC content that corresponds to that of the renewable raw materials, said content being preferably greater than 0.20 Bq/g carbon, especially preferably greater than 0.23 Bq/g carbon, but preferably less than 0.45 Bq/g carbon in each case; a carbon content in relation to the ash-free dry substance of between 60 ma. % and 80 ma. %; an STSA surface area of the primary particles of at least 5 m.sup.2/g and at most 200 m.sup.2/g; and an oil absorption value (OAN) of between 50 ml/100 g and 150 ml/100 g. The present invention also relates to a method for producing said carbon material and to the use thereof.
Method for Recycling Epoxy-Fiber Composites into Polyolefins
Fiber-reinforced thermoset composites are recycled by forming them into a particulate and combining the particles with a polyolefin to produce a reinforced polyolefin. A functionalized polyolefin is present in the reinforced material. The presence of the functionalized polyolefin leads to a significant increase in the reinforcing efficacy of the thermoset composite particles.
COMPOSITE PARTICLES, COMPOSITE PARTICLE CURED PRODUCT, COMPOSITE PARTICLE IN-MOLD MOLDED ARTICLE, LAMINATE, COMPOSITE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITE PARTICLES
Provided are composite particles in which reinforcing fibers adhere to the surface of thermoplastic resin expanded beads via a thermosetting resin being in an uncured state, a cured product of the composite particles, an in-mold molded article of the composite particles, a laminate of the composite particles and a reinforcing fiber sheet material, a composite of the composite particles, and a method for producing composite particles.
Functional material having at least one additive
A functional material has, as a first component, a thermoset plastic material, as a second component, a binding material for binding the thermoset plastic material, and, as a third component, at least one additive, which is configured to improve a burning behavior, wherein the burning behavior corresponds at least to a fire reaction class C as given by DIN EN 113501-1 [German/European norm 113501-1]. A method is intended for producing such a functional material and an element is produced from such a functional material.
Method for producing a trim element with a genuine carbon appearance
The invention relates to a method for producing a trim element for vehicles which has a genuine carbon appearance, comprising a carbon fiber layer which is arranged on an exposed side of the trim element and is visible from the outside, and which is made of a fiber structure composed of prefabricated carbon fibers with interstices, with the method comprising at least the process step of wet impregnating the prefabricated carbon fiber layer with an aqueous polymer dispersion based on polyurethane, acrylate or polyvinyl acetate or a mixture thereof, so that the polymer dispersion penetrates at least partially into the carbon fiber layer, increasing the suitability thereof for penetration of a coating into the interstices of the fiber structure of the carbon layer.
PREPREG AND PRODUCING METHOD THEREOF
A prepreg according to the invention comprises: a raw yarn treated by a sizing agent; a thermoplastic resin material; and a thermosetting resin material; wherein the thermoplastic resin material coats at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of the raw yarn, wherein the thermosetting resin material coats at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of the thermoplastic resin material, or wherein the thermosetting resin material coats at least a part of the outer peripheral surface of the raw yarn, wherein the thermoplastic resin material coats at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of the thermosetting resin material, and wherein the thermosetting resin material is polymerized by heating.
HYDROTHERMAL TREATMENT OF RENEWABLE RAW MATERIAL
The present invention relates to a particulate carbon material that can be produced from renewable raw materials, in particular from biomass containing lignin, comprising: a 14C content that corresponds to that of the renewable raw materials, said content being preferably greater than 0.20 Bq/g carbon, especially preferably greater than 0.23 Bq/g carbon, but preferably less than 0.45 Bq/g carbon in each case; a carbon content in relation to the ash-free dry substance of between 60 ma. % and 80 ma. %; an STSA surface area of the primary particles of at least 5 m2/g and at most 200 m2/g; and an oil absorption value (OAN) of between 50 ml/100 g and 150 ml/100 g. The present invention also relates to a method for producing said carbon material and to the use thereof.
Resin composition, prepreg or resin sheet comprising the resin composition, and laminate and printed circuit board comprising them
The resin composition of the present invention comprises a prepolymer (P) and a thermosetting component, the prepolymer (P) being obtained by polymerizing an alkenyl-substituted nadimide (A), a maleimide compound (B), and an amino-modified silicone (C).
Polymer nanoparticles for improved distortion capability in composites
A composition may include a resin and a plurality of polymer nanoparticles included in the resin to form a resin mixture. At least some of the polymer nanoparticles may have a greater distortion capability than the resin due to the nature of the polymer backbone of the polymer nanoparticles, and/or due to the nanoparticle free volume being greater than the free volume of the resin, and/or due to the nanoparticle porosity being greater than a porosity of resin. The incorporation of the polymer nanoparticles in the resin may result in an improvement in the strain and/or distortional capability of the resin mixture which may improve the performance of the composite structure.
POROUS POLYMER COATINGS
The present invention provides porous polymer coatings having adhesive and air flow resistive properties. The porous polymer coating comprises a polymeric foam having a void fraction of greater than about 15% and an air permeability greater than 3 cubic feet per minute per square foot as measured based on ASTM D737-04.
