WATER-BASED HYDROGEL BLEND COATING AND METHOD OF APPLICATION TO ELASTOMERIC ARTICLES
A water-based hydrogel polymer coating and a method of application to natural rubber or other elastomeric latex products are provided. The water-based hydrogel polymer is mixed with a blend of at least one elastomeric material to provide a hydrogel polymer blend composition. The water-based hydrogel polymer blend composition is applied in a single application to an elastomeric article, such as gloves, without additional solvents in the polymer blend composition and without a separate acid or chemical priming step. The water-based hydrogel coating herein provides increased lubricity to facilitate improved wet and dry donning of the elastomeric article.

Water-based hydrogel blend coating and method of application to elastomeric articles
A water-based hydrogel polymer coating and a method of application to natural rubber or other elastomeric latex products are provided. The water-based hydrogel polymer is mixed with a blend of at least one elastomeric material to provide a hydrogel polymer blend composition. METHOD FOR PRODUCING RUBBER WET MASTERBATCH
A method for producing a rubber wet masterbatch comprises a step (i) of dispersing an inorganic filler into a dispersing solvent in the presence of a cellulose fiber to produce a slurry solution, a step (ii) of mixing the slurry solution and a rubber latex solution with each other to produce a slurry-containing rubber latex solution, and a step (iii) of solidifying and drying the slurry-containing rubber latex solution to produce the rubber wet masterbatch. The cellulose fiber has an average fiber diameter less than 1000 nm. When an amount of solid in the rubber latex solution blended in the step (ii) is regarded as 100 parts by mass, a blend amount of the cellulose fiber is from 0.1 to 50 parts by mass.
METHOD OF PREPARING A COMPOUND HAVING ELASTOMER AND FILLER
Disclosed herein are methods of preparing a composite. In one aspect, the method comprises: (a) charging a mixer having one or more rotors with: (i) at least a liquid masterbatch comprising a first filler dispersed in at least one elastomer, and (ii) a wet filler comprising a second filler and a liquid; (b) in one or more mixing steps, mixing the at least the liquid masterbatch and the wet filler to form a mixture; and (c) discharging, from the mixer, the composite comprising the first and second fillers dispersed in the at least one elastomer at a total loading of at least 20 phr, wherein the composite has a liquid content of no more than 10% by weight based on total weight of said composite.
