In particular, midsoles including the foams are provided for use in an article of footwear. Methods of making the compositions and foams are provided, as well as methods of making an article of footwear including one of the foam components. In some aspects, the foams and foam components can be made by injection molding or injection molding followed by compression molding.
Semi-crystalline polyolefin-based additive masterbatch composition
An additive masterbatch composition comprising a semi-crystalline polyolefin carrier resin and an additive package comprising a product of a reaction of an acidic condensation catalyst and a secondary diarylamine. A moisture-curable polyolefin composition comprising the additive masterbatch composition and a (hydrolyzable silyl group)-functional polyolefin prepolymer. A method of making the compositions; a moisture-cured polyolefin composition prepared therefrom; a manufactured article comprising or made from the formulation; and a method of using the manufactured article.
Skin-foam-substrate structure via induction heating
A method of forming a skin-foam-substrate type structure particular suitable as an automobile trim component. The method comprises supplying a polymer resin containing a chemical foaming agent and including metal particles capable of inductive heating, that is positioned between a polymeric skin and substrate, followed by inductive heating to cause foaming of the polymeric resin. The foamed polymer resin adheres to the skin and substrate.

RECYCLE-READY LIDDING FILM
A laminated polypropylene-based film suitable for use as a lidding film having an exterior film, a barrier layer, and a sealing layer. The lidding film has a total composition including high levels of polyolefin-based polymers and polypropylene-based polymers such that the material can be processed efficiently in a polypropylene recycling process. Advantageously, the film retains the properties required to suitably withstand sterilization and pasteurization processes and produce a high-quality packaged product.
Foaming method by effusing SCF through plastic granules
A method of microcellular foam molding an article includes feeding plastic granules to a hopper; supplying a supercritical fluid (SCF) to the hopper to effuse through the plastic granules; conveying the effused plastic granules to a buffer tank; and conveying the effused plastic granules in the buffer tank to a mold of an injection molding machine to perform foam molding on the effused plastic granules to produce a foamed article. In a second embodiment, the injection molding machine is replaced by an extrusion press.
MOLD DEVICE FOR RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE, MOLDING APPARATUS, MOLDING SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLDED ARTICLE
The present invention is a manufacturing method for obtaining a molded article having foam layer inside for providing a foaming agent, a device, a mold, a molding machine, a means for increasing the foaming ratio and a means for increasing coating appropriateness used for manufacturing resin having foaming properties. When the resin having compatibility (miscibility) with the resin to be blended is used as a carrier resin used for manufacturing a masterbatch of the foaming agent, the molded article having an excellent outer appearance can be obtained. When the sodium bicarbonate which is an inorganic foaming agent is used for the foaming agent, a sodium carbonate, which is a foam residue remaining in the molded article after the foaming agent is decomposed to generate the foaming gas, reduces the adherability of the coating film. Thus, when the acid cleaning is preliminarily performed to remove the sodium carbonate, the coating appropriateness is satisfied. When performing the GCP, the thickness of the skin layer located at the surface varies depending on the surface temperature of the mold. In general, the means using the heated steam is generally used for increasing the temperature of the mold. In the present invention, the means for heating the magnetic fluid (liquid) by high frequency induction heating is used. Thus, the temperature of the mold can be safely increased at low cost with heating efficiency. When a mold-back or a core-back is performed for obtaining the molded article having high foaming ratio, the resin is separated from the fixed side. The present invention provides the means for solving the above described problem of the separation by using the gas.
