An extruded multilayer film includes a top layer comprising a blend of a polyolefin and adsorbent silica. The adsorbent silica is 5% or more of the blend and the polyolefin is 95% or less of the blend. The multilayer film is oriented in at least one direction to cause fracturing of the top layer to provide a microporous surface exposing the adsorbent silica gel. The fractured top layer is receptive to receiving a printing ink on an exposed surface thereof with enhanced pigment entrapment and rapid ink drying. A single layer film in the form of the top layer, and also oriented in at least one direction also constitutes a part of this invention.

The blended thermoplastic potting resin comprises at least one polar membrane having two end regions and a middle region; and a blended resin comprising a non-polar thermoplastic polymer and a polar thermoplastic polymer; wherein at least one of the two ends regions is coated with the blended potting resin to form a fluid-tight seal between the end regions and the open middle region, and wherein the polar thermoplastic polymer is 1% or greater by weight of blended resin.

Polyester composition suitable for ultrasonic welding and preparation method thereof

The present disclosure provides a polyester composition suitable for ultrasonic welding and preparation method thereof, the composition includes the following components in parts by weight: 30˜50 parts of poly(1,4-cyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate), 40˜60 parts of ABS, 5˜10 parts of a melt enhancer, 0.1˜1 parts of an antioxidant, and 0.1˜1 parts of a lubricant. Compared with the existing technologies, the polyester composition provided by the present disclosure improves melt strength by using the melt enhancer. The melt enhancer used is an ultra-high density polyethylene resin having a glycidyl methacrylate group after an irradiation treatment, so that the compatibility of the melt enhancer to the poly(1,4-cyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate) is improved. In addition, by controlling a glass-transition temperature of the composition, no chipping is generated during ultrasonic welding, and the composition has a high welding strength, which is suitable for ultrasonic welding.
