A covering material includes: a resin component containing at least one of a crosslinkable resin having photo crosslinkability and thermal crosslinkability and a crosslinkable monomer having photo crosslinkability and thermal crosslinkability; a photoinitiator; and a thermal initiator. A cable includes a core and the covering material that covers the core. A method of manufacturing a cable includes covering a core with a covering material and crosslinking the covering material, wherein the covering material includes: a resin component containing at least one of a crosslinkable resin having photo crosslinkability and thermal crosslinkability and a crosslinkable monomer having photo crosslinkability and thermal crosslinkability; a photoinitiator; and a thermal initiator.
Laminate
Provided is a laminate that has excellent low-temperature impact resistance and bursting pressure strength at high temperatures despite having a thick modified polyolefin layer. The laminate has two or more layers including an (a) layer and a (b) layer, the (a) layer includes an aliphatic polyamide composition (A), and the (b) layer includes a modified polyolefin (B). The modified polyolefin (B) includes a unit derived from a monomer based on an ?-olefin having 2-10 carbon atoms, and a unit derived from an unsaturated compound having at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of: unsaturated compounds having at least one group selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group, a hydroxyl group, an epoxy group, an amino group, an amide group, an imide group, a nitrile group, a thiol group, and an isocyanate group; and derivatives of unsaturated compounds having a carboxyl group. The Shore hardness (D scale) of the modified polyolefin (B) as measured according to ASTM D2240 is 30-61.
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND MOLDED BODY
For purposes of providing a thermoplastic resin composition that imparts excellent impact resistance comparable to that of PA11 even with a polyamide resin having a short chain structure, a method for producing the thermoplastic resin composition, and a molded body, the present thermoplastic resin composition is a thermoplastic resin composition formed by compounding a polyolefin resin, a polyamide resin, and a modified elastomer having a group reactive with the polyamide resin, wherein the polyolefin resin has a number average molecular weight of 350000 or more, and the polyamide resin has a structure in which a carbon number of a linear-chain part of hydrocarbon group sandwiched between adjacent amide bonds in a main chain is 5 or less. The molded body is made of the thermoplastic resin composition. The thermoplastic resin composition is obtained by melt-kneading a melt-kneaded product of a polyamide resin and a modified elastomer, and a polyolefin resin.

An insulating resin composition includes at least a base resin, and an antioxidant. The base resin includes a polyolefin resin modified with a polar group-containing molecule and an unmodified polyolefin resin. The polar group-containing molecule is at least one selected from an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride, and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride derivative. The base resin has a sea-island structure including a first phase having the unmodified polyolefin resin and a second phase provided in the first phase and having the modified polyolefin resin. The second phase has an average diameter of 2 ?m or less.
Foamable resin composition and molded foam
The present invention provides a foamable resin composition excellent in terms of the dispersibility and moldability. The foamable resin composition containing: from 30 to 80 wt % of a polyolefin; from 3 to 40 wt % of a polylactic acid; from 1 to 20 wt % of a modified polyolefin containing a carbonyl group in a molecule; from 10 to 40 wt % of a layered silicate; and from 0.01 to 0.5 wt % of a filler, the polyolefin containing at least one of polypropylene and polyethylene, the filler having a density different from the density of the layered silicate by at least 0.20 g/cm.sup.3.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING POLYMER COMPOSITES COMPRISING AGRO-WASTE PARTICLES
A method of manufacturing a polymer composite comprising a polymer phase and agro-waste particles dispersed in the polymer phase, wherein the polymer phase is preferably obtained from polyolefin containing waste plastics, and the agro-waste particles are preferably obtained from date palm wood flour particles. Various combinations of embodiments are provided.
Polypropylene composition comprising nucleating agent
The invention is directed to a polypropylene composition comprising (A) a propylene-based polymer, (B) talc and (C) a functionalized polypropylene grafted with an acid or acid anhydride functional group, wherein components (A) and (C) are different, wherein the amount of the talc in the composition is 0.025-4 wt % of the total composition and the amount of the functionalized polypropylene is 0.005-0.75 wt % of the total composition.

Disclosed are: a carbon fiber-reinforced resin composition excellent in properties such as strength and elastic modulus, comprising 100 parts by mass of a polymer alloy (A) which comprises: 25 to 95% by mass of one or more propylene-based polymers (p) selected from a propylene-ethylene block copolymer, a propylene homopolymer and a ropylene-ethylene random copolymer having an ethylene content of 5% by mass or less, 1 to 60% by mass of an acid-modified polyolefin resin (m), 0 to 40% by mass of an ethylene-based polymer (e) and 0 to 50% by mass of a polyamide (n) wherein the total of the component (p), the component (m), the component (e) and the component (n) is 100% by mass, and 1 to 200 parts by mass of a carbon fiber (B).
