A MULTILAYER STRUCTURE
The instant invention provides a multilayer structure comprising: (a) a substrate, wherein said substrate is optionally surface treated on at least one surface and has a surface energy in the range of at least 32 dyn, (b) a sealing layer derived from the application of one or more aqueous dispersions to at least a portion of said at least one surface of said substrate, and wherein the one or more aqueous dispersion comprise the melt kneading product of: (a) one or more a base polymers selected from the group consisting of ethylene and optionally one or more α-olefins, propylene and optionally one or more α-olefins; (b) one or more a stabilizing agents; (c) in the presence of a neutralizing agent and (d) water.
RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED BODY THEREOF
The present invention provides a resin composition having superior flexibility and that exhibits excellent durability in thermal molding, and a molded body of such a resin composition. The present invention relates to a resin composition comprising: a copolymer (B) constituted of a vinyl alcohol polymer (B-1) region and a diene polymer (B-2) region; and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a phenol-based compound (C), an amine-based compound (D), and a phosphorus-based compound (E).
Polyolefin Polyols as Surface Modifying Agents
A functionalized ethylene-based polymer dissolved in an appropriate solvent and applied to a nonpolar surface can change the surface polarity/characteristics of the nonpolar surface. This change to the surface polarity/characteristics of the nonpolar surface allows adhesion of materials, such as paint, to surfaces such as polypropylene, polyethylene and polyolefin elastomers.
THIN FILM, MANUFACTURING METHOD AND USES THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a thin film including a first thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) elastomer which is anhydride-grafted. The present disclosure further provides a method for manufacturing the thin film, a laminated material and a method for adhesion.
Self-assembled Propylene-based Compositions and Methods of Production Thereof
Disclosed are self-assembled propylene-based bi-layer compositions having a skin layer comprising a propylene-based elastomer-toughened composition and a core layer comprising a propylene-based fiber-reinforced composition, wherein the propylene-based elastomer-toughened composition and propylene-based fiber-reinforced composition self-assemble upon mixing into the skin layer and the core layer. Processes for producing these self-assembled propylene-based compositions are also disclosed.
USE OF A COMPOSITION FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A FOAMED ARTICLE
The present invention relates to the use of a composition comprising 60-98 wt. % of polypropylene, 2-40 wt. % of low density polyethylene, 0.1-10 wt. % of compatibiliser wherein the compatibiliser is a BAB or AB type of block copolymer comprising a polypropylene block A and a polyester block B, or wherein the compatibiliser is a graft copolymer of the type ABn having a polypropylene backbone A and polyester block(s) B grafted thereon, with n being at least 1, and the polyester block(s) B have an average M/F ratio from 8-32, wherein M is the number of backbone carbon atoms in the polyester not including carbonyl carbon atoms, and F is the number of ester groups in the polyester block(s), wherein the wt. % is based on the sum of the amount polypropylene, low density polyethylene and compatibiliser, for the manufacture of a foamed article.
MODIFIED POLYPROPYLENE-BASED RESIN, POLYPROPYLENE-BASED RESIN EXPANDED SHEET, EXPANDED RESIN-MADE CONTAINER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING MODIFIED POLYPROPYLENE-BASED RESIN
To obtain a modified polypropylene-based resin which shows specific viscoelasticity and from which an expanded sheet having a low open cell ratio can be obtained.
Adhesive, adhesive resin composition and laminate comprising it
To provide an adhesive excellent in adhesion to a thermoplastic resin and an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer. An adhesive comprising a hydrolyzate of a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin (A), a copolymer (B) of ethylene and a vinyl ester and/or an acrylic acid ester having a vinyl ester and/or acrylic acid ester content higher by at least 5 mol % than (A); and a modified product having (A) grafted by (B), and an adhesive resin composition comprising it.
Polymer Blend, a Film or Sheet Made Therefrom, Articles Made from the Film or Sheet or Pipe and Method of Preparing a Film or Sheet
A polymer blend comprising from 20 to 90 parts by weight, based on the total weight of the polymer blend, polyvinyl chloride resin; and from 10 to 80 parts by weight, based on the total weight of the polymer blend, a flexible acrylic polymer is provided. Also provided are films or sheets or pipe made from the polymer blend, a capstock made from the film and a method for preparing a film.
Dope for producing film and film production method
Provided is a dope used when a film containing an acrylic-based resin and a core-shell type graft copolymer is made by a solution casting method, in which turbidity is less likely to occur despite the use of a core-shell type graft copolymer having a core layer with a large particle diameter. A dope for producing a film by a solution casting method contains a thermoplastic acrylic-based resin, a graft copolymer, and a solvent. In this dope, the graft copolymer has a core layer and a shell layer, the core layer has an average particle diameter of 125 to 400 nm, the graft copolymer has a degree of swelling by methyl ethyl ketone of 3.5 or more, and the solvent has a hydrogen bonding term δH in a Hansen solubility parameter of 6.0 or more and 8.0 or less.
