BIODEGRADABLE FILMS COMPRISING POLYHYDROXYALKANOATES
A biodegradable film comprises from 1 wt % to 10 wt % of a first polyhydroxyalkanoate resin component, from 50 wt % to 90 wt % of a second polyhydroxyalkanoate resin component, and from 5 wt % to 48 wt % of a polybutylene adipate terephthalate resin. Specifically, the first poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyhexanoate) resin contains a first mol % of 3-hydroxyhexanoate structural units, and the second poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyhexanoate) resin contains a second mol % of 3-hydroxyhexanoate structural units, while the second mol % is higher than the first mol %, e.g., by 2-40 mol %, or 3-30 mol %, or 4-20 mol %.
BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITIONS AND ARTICLES FORMED THEREFROM
A biodegradable composition is disclosed. The biodegradable composition includes (i) a biodegradable polymer and (ii) a cellulose ester. Films that include or are formed from the biodegradable composition, as well as articles that include a substrate and a layer of the biodegradable composition on a surface thereof, are also described.
DECORATIVE PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DECORATIVE PANELS
A decorative panel includes a substrate, a top layer and a top coating. The top layer is located between the substrate and the top coating. The uppermost surface of the top coating includes a randomized relief.
Stainable thermoformable sheets, compositions, and methods of manufacture
The present disclosure describes thermoformable sheets capable of retaining an absorbing stain, pigmented sealer or clear sealer. The unique resin binder formulations and products include porosity-promoting agents that result in the resin binder having a porous surface capable of being stained, while still having the favorable properties of traditional Thermofoil products. The methods of the invention produce a Thermofoil product that can be stained with a variety of stains and colorants after manufacturing to suit the individual builder's or homeowner's preference.
COMPOSITE MOLDED ARTICLE, LAMINATE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITE MOLDED ARTICLE
The present invention provides a composite molded article in which aliphatic polyester-based resin expanded beads and a thermosetting resin cured product containing a reinforcing fiber, which is formed between the expanded beads, are integrally fixed, wherein the aliphatic polyester-based resin is a polylactic acid-based resin, and a flexural modulus E (MPa) of the composite molded article and a density (kg/m.sup.3) of the composite molded article satisfy Expression (1): E.sup.1/3/0.02 [(MPa).sup.1/3(kg/m.sup.3).sup.1], and a composite molded article and a laminate having more improved strength.
THERMOSETTING RESIN COMPOSITION, THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE RESIN SHEET, HEAT-DISSIPATING LAYERED PRODUCT, HEAT-DISSIPATING CIRCUIT BOARD, SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE AND POWER MODULE
A thermosetting resin composition containing a thermosetting resin, an inorganic filler, and a polymer having a mass average molecular weight of 10,000 or more, wherein the thermosetting resin composition includes boron nitride agglomerated particles as the inorganic filler, and includes an epoxy compound and a benzoxazine compound as the thermosetting resin, and a ratio of a mass content of the boron nitride agglomerated particles to a mass content of the benzoxazine compound (boron nitride agglomerated particles/benzoxazine) is 5 or more and 50 or less, a thermally conductive sheet having thermal conductivity and heat resistance can be formed. In addition, the thermosetting resin composition can be formed into a film without any problem when forming a sheet, and sufficient adhesive strength can be obtained when cured.
Resin-coated metal sheet for containers
The resin-coated metal sheet for containers includes a resin coating layer (A) having a multilayered structure mainly composed of a polyester resin on at least one surface thereof. The resin coating layer (A) includes a resin layer (a1). The resin layer (a1) adheres to the metal sheet, contains (i) a polyester resin, (ii) a phenolic resin, (iii) a metal alkoxide compound and/or a metal chelate compound, (iv) an epoxy resin, and (v) at least one selected from the group consisting of polyamine resins, polyamidoamine resins, and polyamide resins, and is mainly composed of the polyester resin. Preferably, a polyester film (a2) is disposed on the resin layer (a1).
Material And Method For An Artificial Rock
The invention relates to modifying synthetic fiber sponge, such as polyester or polyurethane foam, with an epoxy-, polyester, or acrylic-resin to induce an engineered rock product for use as stone replacement in a variety of applications. The method for manufacturing comprises: producing a foam block; shaping the foam block into any regular or irregular shape; weathering the shaped foam block; infusing the weathered foam block with a resin; curing the infused foam block; and finishing the cured foam block. The artificial rock comprises a foam block shaped to resemble a rock, an exterior of the foam block infused with a resin.
Methods for making composite products containing lignocellulose substrates
A method for making a composite product can include combining a plurality of lignocellulose substrates and a binder to produce a resinated furnish. The binder can be or include a polyphenolic compound, a free radical precursor, and an unsaturated compound having two or more unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds. At least one of the unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds is a pi-bond that is not conjugated with an aromatic moiety and is capable of free radical addition. The method can also include pressing the resinated furnish between at least two surfaces in a press, where at least one of the at least two surfaces can be a porous surface, and at least partially curing the binder in the resinated furnish to produce a composite product.
