Metal gloss design member
To provide a metal gloss design member provided with a light reflection film such as a silver thin film having satisfactory weather resistance even in outdoor use. A silver coating film 10 provided at least with a silver thin film 14 and with a topcoat layer 16 formed on the outer side in the stacking direction relative to the silver thin film 14 is formed on a substrate 3 and then the topcoat layer 16 has ultraviolet absorbability.
Container for pressurized gas
Disclosed are articles useful as the body of a container for containing gas under pressure, and containers which comprise the articles to which are affixed valves to control the flow of gas out of the container, wherein the articles comprise a hollow container body, having an external surface and having an opening through which gas can enter or leave the interior of the hollow container body; optionally but preferably a layer of fiber-reinforced polymer around the exterior of the container body, and an external layer of elastomer around and sealed to the external surface of the layer of fiber-reinforced polymer if present or else to the cylinder body.
PALETTE, BOX, GEAR AND RESIN SHAPED BODY-MANUFACTURING METHOD
To provide a palette, etc. on which an article is placed, including: a foamed synthetic resin-base material; and a polyurea-resin coating layer covering a front surface of the base material; and manufactured by a method including: injecting a polyurea-resin coating material onto a front surface of a foamed synthetic resin-base material; and drying the coating material after the injecting. The injecting may have injecting the coating material onto all surfaces of the base material. A thickness of the coating material formed on a front surface of the base material in the injecting may be controlled proportionally to an expansion ratio of the foamed synthetic resin. The thickness of the coating material may be controlled by adjusting a speed of conveyance of the base material and/or a distance between an injection port for the coating material and the base material. Heating-pressing the base material may further be included before the injecting.
Polyurethane foam by reaction injection molding
The present invention provides a method for preparing a foam that includes a polyurethaneurea dispersion. These foams have enhanced flexibility and resistance to compressibility compared to convention polyurethane foam. These foams may also be made by a reaction injection molding process. The method includes preparing a shaped polyurethane foam article by: (a) providing a first composition comprising at least one polyol, a chain extender composition and a blowing agent; (b) providing a second composition comprising at least one of a diisocyanate, a capped glycol, and combinations thereof; (c) mixing the first composition and the second composition to form a reaction mixture into a heated mold; and (d) allowing the reaction mixture to form a polyurethane foam; wherein the first composition includes one of: (i) the chain extender composition includes at least one amine compound; (ii) the blowing agent includes a polyurethaneurea aqueous dispersion; and (iii) combinations of (i) and (ii).
Polymer composition and process for coating expanded polystyrene with the polymer composition
A polymer composition for coating expanded polystyrene (EPS) is provided, the polymer composition includes a mixture of at least one of polyurea, polyurethane, silicon elastomer, and combination thereof in a predefined ratio. The polymer composition imparts desired properties such as high impact and abrasion resistance, elongation strength, and anti-static property along with flexural strength to the EPS. The present invention also provides the process for coating the polymer composition onto the EPS. The matrix coating process provides much stronger bonding due to overlap of coating of the polymer composition on the sides of the EPS and reduces the wastage of the polymer composition during the coating of the EPS. The present invention also provides the EPS coated with the polymer composition. The EPS coated with the polymer composition possesses the properties such as high impact resistance, abrasion resistance, elongation strength, flexural strength, and anti-static property.
Process for Cold Bonding Rubber on Metal Substrates
The present invention relates to a process for cold bonding elastomeric rubber substrates to non-elastomeric substrates of a different material, preferably metal, by use of a rubber treatment, preferably a primer composition and a 2k adhesive, preferably a 2k epoxy adhesive as well as the thus obtained bonded substrates.
NON-POLAR THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE HAVING A DYE SUBLIMATION PRINTED IMAGE AND METHOD TO FORM THEM
An article is comprised of a composite substrate comprising a non-polar thermoplastic polymer such as a polyolefin or polyvinyl chloride and a filler having polar groups, the composite having a dye sublimation image in a layer adhered or integral to a surface of the composite. The article may be made by exposing the aforementioned composite substrate to a temperature above 100? C., which is typically above the melt temperature of the non-polar thermoplastic polymer, to about 250? C. and pressing a dye sublimation film onto the composite substrate for a time to imprint the dye sublimation image into the accepting layer forming the article. The article may be used for applications having aesthetic or structural requirements in the construction arts such as railing, decking or fencing.
