In an embodiment, a membrane comprises a free hydrophilic polymer comprising a polyoxazoline, and a polyurethane, the polyurethane comprising a backbone comprising the reaction product of a diisocyanate, a polymeric aliphatic 5 diol, and optionally a chain extender.

In a first aspect, the present invention concerns a multilayer coating for covering vehicle body parts, comprising a polymeric facestock layer (3) which is located between a polymeric top coat layer 4 and a polymeric adhesive layer (2), the top coat layer (4) comprising at least partially cross-linked polyurethane, wherein the at least partially cross-linked polyurethane is the reaction product of a composition comprising a first part and a second part, wherein: the first part comprises between 0.1 and 99.9 wt. % of solvent- or waterborne thermally curable polyurethane precursor material, as based on the total weight of said composition; and

the second part comprises between 0.1 and 99.9 wt. % of UV-curable polyurethane precursor material, as based on the total weight of said composition.

The invention further pertains to a method for manufacturing a multilayer coating for covering vehicle body parts.

A process for forming a combustion-modified ether (CME) polyurethane foam includes providing a polyol component including a PIPA polyol that is a dispersion having a solids content from 10 wt % to 75 wt %, based on a total weight of the PIPA polyol, providing an isocyanate component that includes at least one polyisocyanate, providing an additive component that includes at least one flame retardant, and forming a reaction mixture including the polyol component, the isocyanate component, and the additive component to form a CME polyurethane foam. The reaction mixture has an isocyanate index from 90 to 150. The PIPA polyol is a reaction product of a mixture including at least a low equivalent weight polyol having a number average hydroxyl equivalent weight of less than 80, a polyisocyanate compound having a number average isocyanate equivalent weight that is less than 225, and a liquid base poly ether polyol having a number average hydroxyl equivalent weight of at least 200 and at least 80% of secondary hydroxyl groups based on a total amount of hydroxyl groups in the liquid base polyether polyol.

HEAT RESISTANT RECYCLE-READY RETORT PACKAGING

A laminated polypropylene-based film suitable for retort packaging having an exterior film, a barrier layer, and a sealing layer. The retort packaging film has a total composition including high levels of polyolefin-based polymers and polypropylene-based polymers such that the material can be processed efficiently in a polypropylene recycling process. Advantageously, the film retains the properties required to suitably withstand the retort process and produce a high-quality shelf-stable packaged product.
