Provided is a polyester-based resin composition capable of giving a molded article excellent in transparency and gas-barrier property even though the molded article requires stretching treatment, and also provided is a method for producing the composition. The method for producing a polyester-based resin composition includes a step of obtaining a master batch (M) containing a polyester resin (A) having a cyclic acetal structure or an alicyclic hydrocarbon structure, and a polyamide resin (B), and a step of melt-kneading the master batch (M) with a polyester resin (R) in which 70 mol % or more of the dicarboxylic acid unit is derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 70 mol % or more of the diol unit is derived from an aliphatic diol, thereby giving a polyester-based resin composition, in this order,. The glass transition temperature of the polyester resin (A) is 105° C. or lower, the content of the polyester resin (A) in the polyester-based resin composition is 0.5 to 15.0% by mass, and the content of the polyamide resin (B) is 0.5 to 10.0% by mass.

POLYAMIDE BLENDS FOR POLYMER FILMS

Provided herein are polymer films including a polyamide composition of PA6 and PA66/6. The provided films are particularly useful as packaging materials as they exhibit improved toughness, e.g., puncture and impact resistance, relative to that of conventional films that include only PA6 as a polyamide component. Also provided are methods for making the provided films, and articles that include the provided films.

The molded body includes: a continuous phase containing first and second polyolefin resins; and a dispersed phase containing a polyamide resin and a modified elastomer and composed of a melt-kneaded product of the polyamide resin and the modified elastomer, the modified elastomer has a reactive group that reacts with the polyamide resin, the elastomer is an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer having, as a skeleton, a copolymer of ethylene or propylene and an α-olefin having 3-8 carbon atoms or a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer having a styrene skeleton, when a total of the continuous and dispersed phases is taken as 100% by mass, the dispersed phase is 70% by mass or less, and when a total of the first and second polyolefin resins is taken as 100% by mass, the second polyolefin resin is 80% by mass or less.

Water-soluble matrix, pre-molded article containing resin particles, and method for producing resin particles

Provided are: a water-soluble matrix whose melt-kneading temperature can be adjusted according to the melting point or glass transition temperature of a resin; a pre-molded article in which resin particles are dispersed in the water-soluble matrix; and a method for producing resin particles. This production method includes melt-kneading a water-soluble matrix containing a modified polyvinyl alcohol-based resin and a water-soluble saccharide at a weight ratio of the former/the latter=from 99/1 to 50/50 and a thermoplastic resin, and bringing the pre-molded article in which the resin particles are dispersed into contact with an aqueous solvent to elute the matrix. The modified polyvinyl alcohol-based resin contains in a side chain thereof an alkyl group including at least one hydroxyl group (for example, a 1,2-dihydroxyalkyl group).

A method of recycling and reusing a tap water-soluble sulfonated polymer material from a structural component made using an additive manufacturing process comprises dissolving the structural component in water to disperse the sulfonated polymer material into the water. The sulfonated polymer material is precipitated from the water and recovered; then dried and reformed into a form suitable for subsequent use as a consumable feedstock in a subsequent additive manufacturing process.

An easily tearable film with excellent linear cuttability, as well as a multilayer film, a packaging material, and a container are provided. The easily tearable film is a polyamide resin film including polyamide resin components including more than 20 parts by mass and 70 parts by mass or less of a semi-aromatic polyamide resin A and less than 80 parts by mass and 30 parts by mass or more of an aliphatic polyamide resin B; wherein the semi-aromatic polyamide resin A is constituted of a diamine-derived constituent unit and a dicarboxylic acid-derived constituent unit; 60 mol % or more of the diamine-derived constituent units are derived from metaxylylenediamine; 60 mol % or more of the dicarboxylic acid-derived constituent units are derived from an α,ω-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having from 4 to 10 carbons; and the polyamide resin film is stretched, the polyamide resin film having an area fraction corresponding to the semi-aromatic polyamide resin A, as observed in secondary electron image observation, of 9.8% or more after plane ion milling of a cross section of the polyamide resin film in the TD direction.
