COMPATIBILIZED POLYMER COMPOSITIONS
A polymer composition includes a poly(para-phenylene sulfide) (PPS), at least one poly(aryl ether sulfone) (PAES), and at least one alkali metal carbonate. Preferably, the polymer composition is free or substantially free of solvent. A method includes melt mixing a poly(para-phenylene sulfide) (PPS), at least one poly(aryl ether sulfone) (PAES), and at least one alkali metal carbonate.

A toy product composition may comprise recycled polypropylene that is between 86.0% and 96.0% by weight of the composition, polypropylene that is between 2.79% and 3.11% by weight of the composition, wheat straw fiber that is between 1.86% and 2.08% by weight of the composition, and polypropylene cooling masterbatch comprises between 2.32% and 2.60% by weight of the composition.

Sulfur-linked hybrid gel compositions and aerogels thereof
Methods and materials are described for preparing organic-inorganic hybrid gel compositions where a sulfur-containing cross-linking agent covalently links the organic and inorganic components. The gel compositions are further dried to provide porous gel compositions and aerogels. The mechanical and thermal properties of the dried gel compositions are also disclosed.

Coated fiber and method
A coated fiber for polymer reinforcement is disclosed. The coated fiber comprises a fiber and a coating disposed about said fiber. The fiber has a denier of from about 250 to about 3,000. The coating comprises a branched polyethylene imine. The fiber is present in the coated fiber in an amount of from about 80 to about 99.8 percent by weight and the coating is present in the coated fiber in an amount of from about 0.2 to about 20 percent by weight, with percent by weight based on the total weight of the coated fiber. A method of producing the coated fiber is also disclosed.

PELLETIZABLE FIBER BLENDS
Pelletizable fiber blends are provided, as well as pelletized fibers formed therefrom, and methods of preparing them. The pelletizable fiber blends include short fibers and a binder. The pelletized fiber blend is useful to prepare polymer composites and rubber compositions.
