Formulations and products to replace single-use plastics and polystyrene with bio-benign materials such as agricultural wastes
The present invention provides methods for preparing the nut waste pot composites from a nut waste component, one or more binders, and an oil.
SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING WASTE EGG SHELLS INTO PRODUCTS
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for processing waste egg shells into (i) a first product comprising calcified egg shell particles having diameters of 3μ or less, and (ii) a second product comprising calcified egg shell particles having diameters in a range from about 3μ to about 7μ. The first product may be used as a CaCO.sub.3 substitute for paint compositions and plastics compositions. The second product may be used as a CaCO.sub.3 blasting media substitute for use with abrasive blasting equipment.

EARTH PLANT COMPOSTABLE BIODEGRADABLE SUBSTRATE AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
An earth plant-based compostable biodegradable composition for the formation of a bioplastic and method of producing said resin, the composition comprising: about 17.5 to 45% ethanol-based green polyethylene by weight, about 20 to 25% calcium carbonate by weight, about 2 to 12% hemp hurd or soy protein by weight, about 32 to 45% starch by weight, and about 0.5 to 1% biodegradation additive by weight to enable biodegradation and composting of the bioplastic; wherein the composition is produced by first mill grinding the ethanol-based green polyethylene, calcium carbonate, hemp hurd or soy protein, starch and the biodegradation additive into fine powders, then mechanically mixing the fine powders one by one into a final mixture for about 5-25 minutes at a time, dry and without heat, and then heating the final mixture to about 220 to 430 degrees Fahrenheit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING SYNTHETIC BUILDING MATERIALS USING PLASTIC WASTE COMBINED WITH INDUSTRIAL AND AGRICULTURAL SCRAP
The invention to provide a system of equipment for making synthetic building materials using plastic wastes combined with industrial and agricultural scrap includes: sorting and cleaning equipment, grinding equipment, powder grinding equipment, mixing equipment, pelletizing equipment, drying equipment, hot stir equipment, shaping equipment are connected together by mechanical connectors. The database connected to the controller controls the sorting and cleaning equipment, the grinding equipment, the powder grinding equipment, the mixing equipment, the pelletizing equipment, the drying equipment, the hot stir equipment, and the shaping equipment through transmission channels. In addition, the present invention provides a method of manufacturing for making synthetic building materials using plastic wastes combined with industrial and agricultural scrap.
Green epoxy resin with biobinder from manure
A curable green epoxy resin composition is described. More particularly, the curable green epoxy resin composition includes a biobinder isolated from bio-oil produced from animal waste, such as from swine manure. The biobinder can act as a curing agent for an epoxy resin component in the resin composition. Cured green epoxy resins, prepregs containing the curable green epoxy resin, and related composite materials are described. In addition, methods of preparing the curable green epoxy resin composition and of curing the curable green epoxy resin.
Husk plastic composite, production method and application thereof
A husk plastic composite comprises a composition including: PVC 10 to 20 wt %; vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate (VC/VAC) copolymer 10 to 30 wt %; styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN) 1 to 5 wt %; chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) 1 to 5 wt %; rice husk powder 10 to 40 wt %; inorganic filler 10 to 40 wt %; internal lubricant 0.1 to 1 wt %; external lubricant 0.1 to 1 wt %; and heat stabilizer 1 to 5 wt %. The VC/VAC copolymer in the husk plastic composition can allow the composition to be processed by relatively lower processing temperature to save energy consumption, prevent the husk powder from being burnt or decomposed due to high temperature during the heating process to allow this natural material being added in a large amount in the composition and can reduce the amount of PVC through a large amount of filling additives but still maintain in good product mechanical properties.
RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRES AND TIRE
A rubber composition for tires according to an embodiment includes, per 100 parts by mass of a rubber component, 0.1 to 20 parts by mass of a terpene-based resin Containing an α-pinene unit and a β-pinene unit, and 1 to 30 parts by mass of vegetable granules having an average particle size of 0.1 to 500 μm.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING WHITENED FLY ASH
A process for preparing whitened fly ash includes the steps of: (a) subjecting fly ash to a size classification step to obtain size classified fly ash having a particle size such that at least 90 wt % has a particle size of from 44 μm to 250 μm; (b) optionally, contacting the size classified fly ash from step (a) with water to form a slurry, wherein the slurry has a solid content of less than 40 wt %; (c) subjecting the slurry obtained in step (b) to an exhaustive magnetic separation step to form magnetically treated fly ash, wherein the exhaustive magnetic separation step includes a first magnetic extraction step and a second magnetic extraction step, wherein the second magnetic extraction step is carried out at a higher magnetic field strength than the first magnetic extraction step; and (d) subjecting the magnetically treated fly ash obtained in step (c) to milling to form whitened fly ash.
