Electronic component, method for producing same, and sealing material paste used in same
An electronic component has an organic member between two transparent substrates, in which outer peripheral portions of the two transparent substrates are bonded by a sealing material containing to melting glass. The low melting glass contains vanadium oxide, tellurium oxide, iron oxide and phosphoric acid, and satisfies the following relations (1) and (2) in terms of oxides. The sealing material is formed of a sealing material paste which contains the low melting glass, a resin binder and a solvent, the low melting glass containing vanadium oxide, tellurium oxide, iron oxide and phosphoric acid, and satisfies the following relations (1) and (2) in terms of the oxides. Thereby, thermal damages to an organic element or an organic material contained in the electronic component can be reduced and an electronic component having a glass bonding layer of high reliability can be produced efficiently.

Gas barrier enhancing additives and methods
Polyesters compositions comprising gas barrier enhancing additives and containers comprising such polyester compositions are provided herein. Also provided are methods for preparing polyester containers comprising said gas barrier enhancing additives. The polyester containers of the present invention exhibit decreased permeability to gases thereby providing improved shelf-life.

The present invention relates to sheet silicate lamellae of a 2:1 sheet silicate with a high aspect ratio, to a method for producing these sheet silicate lamellae and to an aqueous dispersion which comprises the sheet silicate lamellae. The present invention further relates to the use of the sheet silicate lamellae of the invention for producing a composite material, and also to a corresponding composite material comprising or obtainable using the sheet silicate lamellae, more particularly for use as a diffusion barrier or as a flame retardant.

The present technology provides a rubber composition having: from 30 to 50 parts by mass of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of from 100 to 130 m.sup.2/g, from 25 to 40 parts by mass of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of from 37 to 60 m.sup.2/g, from 1.5 to 2.2 parts by mass of sulfur as a pure sulfur content, and from 110 to 200 mass % of a sulfenamide-based vulcanization accelerator relative to the pure sulfur content compounded in 100 parts by mass of diene rubber containing from 30 to 60 parts by mass of isoprene rubber and from 40 to 70 parts by mass of butadiene rubber.
Coating compositions, elastic barrier coatings formed therefrom, and methods of applying such coatings
A coating composition includes an aqueous carrier medium, at least a first polymer, and polymeric core-shell particles dispersed in the aqueous carrier medium. The first polymer includes: (i) a barrier segment having aromatic groups and urethane linkages, urea linkages, or a combination thereof; and (ii) an elastomeric segment having a glass transition temperature of less than 0° C. The barrier segment can make up at least 30% of the first polymer, based on the total solids weight of the first polymer.
ETHYLENE-VINYL ALCOHOL COPOLYMER RESIN COMPOSITION, FILM, AND MULTILAYER STRUCTURE
An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and a metal compound, and having a peak at 2θ=2 to 15° when measured by wide-angle X-ray diffraction using CuKα ray, as an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition having an excellent gas barrier property in a high humidity environment, particularly an excellent oxygen barrier property in a high humidity environment.
Adhesives comprising activatable getter materials
An adhesive comprising a getter material and optionally a solvent comprising a catalyst activatable by means of an external stimulus for the reaction of the getter material with a permeate can tolerate brief contact with permeates such as moisture in particular before user application, without any significant impairment of getter capacity.

Provided is an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition comprising an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (X) and a metal compound, wherein the composition satisfies the following formula (1), as an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition having an excellent gas barrier property in the high humidity environment, particularly an excellent oxygen barrier property in the high humidity environment:
