Composition for transforming polyethylene into a decomposable material and its process of production thereof

The present disclosure discloses a novel composition for transforming a non-biodegradable material into a decomposable material. In one embodiment, the non-biodegradable material may be plastic. The composition comprises a carbonate or a bicarbonate compound, a plant extract, a hydrating agent, and a coloring agent. The carbonate or bicarbonate compound, the plant extract and the hydrating agent are mixed in a predetermined ratio by weight along with the coloring agent and maintained in an aqueous medium. In one embodiment, the novel composition is applied on the non-biodegradable material to degrade it into a decomposable form. In another embodiment, the novel composition is mixed with the non-biodegradable material to degrade it into a decomposable form.

Environmentally degradable foamed master batch composition and using thereof

The present invention provides a master batch composition for environmentally degrading conventional plastics including a carrier resin, at least one oxidative degradant, at least one nature biodegradable degradant and at least one foaming agent. The present invention also provides a plastic product which is environmentally degradable at a very low cost versus conventional bio-sourced plastics, and has broad applications for single-use disposable applications or for short-lived products that are discarded within two years of manufacture.

BIODEGRADABLE STERILE SAMPLING BAG
20170299474 · 2017-10-19 · ·

A biodegradable sampling bag for containing samples or the like, comprises a flexible enclosure defining a chamber adapted to contain therein the sample, the flexible enclosure being made of a plastic material, which contains an additive that renders the flexible enclosure biodegradable when exposed for a sufficient period of time to microbial action. The additive is adapted to enable microorganisms to metabolize the molecular structure of said flexible enclosure. The additive is effective in altering the polymer chain of the plastic material to allow microbial action of a suitable environment to colonize in and around the plastic material, whereby microbes can then form a biofilm on a surface of the flexible enclosure and secrete acids which break down the entire polymer chain. The flexible enclosure, when exposed to microbial action, is adapted to withstand biodegradation for a given period of time, typically of at least three months.

Conteneur Oxo-biodegradable Antimicrobien
20170233555 · 2017-08-17 ·

An oxo-biodegradable antimicrobial receptacle for organic waste or waste from care activities which comprises a layer comprising low density polyethylene, an oxo-biodegradation additive at between 0.2 and 2.2% by weight and an antimicrobial additive at between 0.2 and 2.2% by weight, distributed in the polyethylene. It affords a period of preservation, in the dark, of at least 3 years, preferably 5 years, at a temperature not exceeding 30° C. The preservation is estimated by the carbonyl optical density resulting from the degradation of the polyethylene, measured according to the standard ISO 10640-2011 by FT-IR spectroscopy. The oxo-degradation is inhibited by the absence of light, and a period of degradation estimated by the carbonyl optical density of less than 2 years. The oxo-degradation additive does not promote Clostridium difficile spores.
