A method of applying a coating composition to a substrate utilizing a high transfer efficiency applicator include the steps of providing the high transfer efficiency applicator comprising an array of nozzles wherein each nozzle defines a nozzle orifice having a diameter of from 0.00002 m to 0.0004, providing the coating composition, and applying the coating composition to the substrate through the nozzle orifice without atomization such that at least 99.9% of the applied coating composition contacts the substrate to form a coating layer having a wet thickness of at least 5 microns, wherein the coating composition includes a carrier, a binder, and a radar reflective pigment or a LiDAR reflective pigment. The coating composition has an Ohnesorge number (Oh) of from about 0.01 to about 12.6, a Reynolds number (Re) of from about 0.02 to about 6,200, and a Deborah number (De) of from greater than 0 to about 1730.
Elastomer composition comprising a filler at least partially covered by silica
A rubber composition based on at least one diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler predominantly comprising a filler covered at least partially by silica and a crosslinking system. The dispersion of the filler in the elastomeric matrix has a Z score greater than or equal to 70, and the composition is devoid of agent for coupling the filler with the elastomer.
Polyimide varnish and method for producing same
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a, polyimide film having high transparency and improved bending resistance against multiple times of bending, and a varnish capable of providing such a polyimide film. The varnish according to the present invention contains a polymer (α) and a solvent (β). The polymer (α) is polyimide or a polyimide precursor. The varnish further contains a typical metal element having an atomic weight of 26-201 except alkali metals and alkaline earth metals, or at least one metal element among transition metal elements having an atomic weight of 26-201 or less. At least one of the metal elements contained in the varnish is present in an amount of 0.05-500 ppm relative to the polymer (α).
ARTICLE HAVING A ONE-LAYER OR MULTI-LAYER MAIN BODY WITH ELASTIC PROPERTIES, METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ARTICLE AND USE OF ALUMINIUM HYDROXIDE AS REINFORCING FILLER IN A RUBBER MIXTURE
The invention relates to an article, more particularly an air spring bellows, having a one-layer or multi-layer main body with elastic properties, at least one layer of the main body being made up of a rubber mixture, a carbon black proportion of at least one carbon black, more particularly a total carbon black proportion of all carbon blacks, of the rubber mixture being less than 5 phr. The rubber mixture preferably contains aluminium hydroxide as a reinforcing filler. The rubber mixture can comprise chloroprene rubber as a base polymer.
A DOUBLE-SIDE PRINTABLE PSA THERMAL LABEL
The invention relates to a double-side printable label suitable for machine readable labelling of food containers and a method for manufacturing such label, wherein the label is arranged to comprise a base paper made of chemical pulp that separates the face and reverse sides, the face side comprising a layer of temperature sensitive coating which free of bisphenol A and suitable for direct thermal printing, the reverse side comprising a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive, which is suitable for flexographic printing with ultraviolet curable inks, and wherein the machine readability of the label is improved by means of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer thickness having effect on the static sensitivity of the temperature sensitive coating of the label.
MEDICAL RUBBER COMPOSITION, MEDICAL RUBBER PART, AND PRE-FILLABLE SYRINGE
A medical rubber composition can contain, comprise, consist, or consist essentially of: (a) an isobutylene-isoprene rubber: (b) a diene-based rubber; and a silica having a BET specific surface area not lower than 130 m.sup.2/g. An amount of (a) the isobutylene-isoprene rubber contained in 100 parts by mass of a rubber component composed of (a) the isobutylene-isoprene rubber and (b) the diene-based rubber can be larger than 30 parts by mass and smaller than 55 parts by mass.
Hydrolysis-resistant compositions comprising polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
The invention relates to hydrolysis-resistant compositions comprising polyethylene terephthalate (PET), production processes, and use of the said compositions.
Azodicarboxy additives for rubber compositions
A polymeric composition includes a diene elastomer; an azodicarboxy compound; and a reinforcing filler comprising silica. The composition is not foamed. A method for preparing a polymeric composition includes mixing in one or more steps: a diene elastomer; an azodicarboxy compound; and a reinforcing filler. The mixing temperature is less than 160° C. in mixing steps in which the azodicarboxy compound is present. In an embodiment, the mixing temperature is kept below the decomposition temperature of the azodicarboxy compound.
