NEW PLASTICIZED COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING CELLULOSE ACETATE
New plasticized compositions comprising cellulose acetate The present invention concerns a composition comprising: cellulose acetate, starch acetate, and at least one plasticizer, wherein cellulose acetate is present in an amount of at least 50% by weight with respect to the total weight of cellulose acetate, starch acetate and plasticizer(s), and wherein said at least one plasticizer is present in an amount of at most 18% by weight with respect to the total weight of cellulose acetate, starch acetate and plasticizer(s). The present invention also relates to a process for the manufacture of a plasticized article, to the use of said composition for producing a plasticized article, and to the use of starch acetate to prevent or diminish the exudation of one or more plasticizers from plastic materials containing cellulose acetate and such plasticizer(s), and/or to increase the maximal use temperature in application for a material comprising cellulose acetate.

Resin blend
Disclosed are a resin blend, a copolymer, a pellet, a method of manufacturing a resin-molded article using the same, and a resin-molded article. The exemplary resin blend can be useful in providing a protective film for polarizing plates having excellent adhesive strength to a polarizer. Also, the resin blend can be useful in exhibiting excellent adhesive strength to the polarizer without performing an additional primer coating process on a surface(s) of the protective film for polarizing plate, thereby reducing production time and cost and improving productivity.

BIOPOLYMER-BASED SEED COATINGS COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR USE
A seed or seedling is coated with a cross-linked biopolymer and, optionally, a second binder selected from underivatized guar, cationic hydroxypropyl guar, polyacrylamide, poly(methacrylic acid), poly(acrylic acid), polyacrylate, poly(ethylene glycol), polyethyleneoxide, polyamide, hydroxypropyl guar, carboxymethyl guar, carboxymethylhydroxypropyl guar, underivatized starch, cationic starch, corn starch, wheat starch, rice starch, potato starch, tapioca, waxy maize, sorghum, waxy sarghum, sago, dextrin, chitin, chitosan, xanthan gum, carageenan gum, gum karaya, gum arabic, pectin, cellulose, hydroxycellulose, hydroxyalkyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, carboxymethylhydroxyethyl cellulose, or hydroxypropyl cellulose. The seed coating composition is characterized by a dust value, as measured using a Heubach dustmeter device, which is lower by at least 30% as compared to an analogous composition that does not contain the crosslinked biopolymer.
