Polycarbonate composition comprising pearlescent pigment and/or interference pigment

The invention relates to compositions based on aromatic polycarbonate comprising metal oxide-coated micas as effect pigment, which do not have any significant increase in molecular weight of the polycarbonate, as can be seen from the MVR, under thermal stress. This is achieved by the addition of small amounts of an anhydride-modified α-olefin polymer, optionally in combination with phosphorus-containing thermal stabilizer.

A tackifier composition comprising at least one thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin and an antioxidant composition is provided; wherein a portion of the volatile organic compounds in the thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin has been removed; wherein the antioxidant composition comprises at least one primary antioxidant and at least one secondary antioxidant; and wherein the levels of individual volatile organic compound monitored in the tackifier composition are less than about 0.5 ppm as measured by GC/MS headspace analysis. Processes for producing the tackifier composition are also provided as well as adhesives comprising the tackifier compositions.

The resin composition contains: an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A); and an aluminum ion (B), wherein at least a part of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) comprises, at a polymer end, at least one of a carboxylic acid unit (I) and a lactone ring unit (II), a total content (i+ii) of the carboxylic acid unit (I) and the lactone ring unit (II) per gram of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) is 14 μmol/g or more and 78 μmol/g or less, and a content (b) of the aluminum ion (B) per gram of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) is 0.002 μmol/g or more and 0.17 μmol/g or less.
