ANTIMICROBIAL ADHESIVE COPOLYMER COMPOSITIONS
Improved antimicrobial adhesive copolymer compositions for wound closure or surgical-site closure are provided. The antimicrobial adhesive copolymer compositions comprise cyanoacrylate-based tissue adhesive monomers and long-chain quaternary ammonium compounds (QUATs), or long-chain quaternary phosphonium compounds (QUPTs). The antimicrobial adhesive copolymer compositions offer advantages in wound closure or surgical-site closure with bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects on Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.

ACRYLIC COPOLYMER AND RUBBER MATERIAL
It is an object of the present invention to provide an acrylic copolymer for providing a highly heat-resistant rubber material that shows a small rate of change in strength without loss of elongation, even under a high-temperature condition over a long period, and a composition containing the acrylic copolymer. The present invention provides an acrylic copolymer comprising a structural unit (A) derived from a monomer containing a structure having a maleimide skeleton, a structural unit (B) derived from an acrylic acid alkyl ester and/or a structural unit (B) derived from an acrylic acid alkoxyalkyl ester, and a structural unit (C) derived from an unsaturated monomer having a crosslinking group; a composition comprising the acrylic copolymer and a crosslinking group; and a rubber material produced from the composition.

DISPENSABLE POLYIMIDE AEROGEL PREPOLYMER, METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME, METHOD OF USING THE SAME, AND SUBSTRATE COMPRISING PATTERNED POLYIMIDE AEROGEL
A method for manufacturing a patterned polyimide aerogel film on a substrate includes: dispensing a polyimide prepolymer sol onto a first portion of a surface of a substrate, a second portion of the surface of the substrate being substantially free of the polyimide prepolymer sol; forming a patterned film of a polyimide prepolymer gel on the substrate from the polyimide prepolymer sol; drying the polyimide prepolymer gel to form a patterned film of a polyimide prepolymer aerogel on the substrate; and curing the polyimide prepolymer aerogel on the substrate to form the patterned polyimide aerogel film on the first portion of the surface of the substrate, the second portion of the surface of the substrate being substantially free of the patterned polyimide aerogel film.
PERCUTANEOUSLY ADMINISTERED THERAPEUTIC SUBSTANCE FOR TREATMENT OF TARGET TISSUE
A method for treating target tissue comprises introducing a portion of a surgical device into a patient, the surgical device having a treatment end, positioning the treatment end of the surgical device adjacent to the target tissue, and administering a devascularizing material to the target tissue. The devascularizing material, after a time period, is able to devascularize the target tissue. A surgical device comprises a shaft extending between proximal and distal portions, a treatment end located at the distal portion, where the treatment end administers the devascularizating material to a target tissue.
