Orthotic device with snap fit cuff and latch mechanism
An orthotic device including a frame assembly and a support structure. The frame assembly includes at least one frame having a first frame opening and a second frame opening. The support structure assembly includes at least one support structure supported by the at least one frame. The at least one support structure includes a mounting portion; a slide engagement member supported by the mounting portion configured to engage the first frame opening; and, at least one snap engagement member supported by the mounting portion configured to engage the second frame opening. The slide engagement member and the at least one snap engagement member are integrally formed with the mounting portion. In another embodiment the orthotic device includes a latch mechanism including a lever assembly, a draw bar, a chafe, a catch, and a first snap fit ledge.
SECURING DEVICE WITH SPRING CLOSURE
A securing device has a main body having a first side wall, a second side wall, and at least one first slot for receiving a strap, and a top bar connected to the main buckle body at the first side wall and forming a second slot with the main buckle body for receiving a second strap. The second slot is open at a distal end thereof. The top bar has a guide track extending longitudinally therethrough, with the guide track opening into the second slot. A catch is formed on the second side wall and facing inward. A spring gate is disposed in the guide track. The spring gate is placed around the catch to close the distal end of the second slot. The spring gate is releasable from the catch by pressing on the top bar until the spring gate clears the catch.
BELT BUCKLE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A belt system comprising a belt buckle, a belt strap, and a stopper. The belt buckle has a frame, an attachment assembly defining an inlet and an outlet, and a securing assembly. The belt strap defines a first end and a second end. The stopper is fixedly attached to the second end of the belt strap. The attachment assembly engages the belt strap at the first end though the inlet and engages the stopper at the second end of belt strap to prevent movement of the second end of the belt strap relative to the frame. The securing assembly defines at least one first securing member and at least one second securing member configured to securely engage a first portion and a second portion of the belt strap.
