A webbing capture area includes a first side plate and a first pin, the first pin in a first slot of the first side plate, the first pin providing rotation of the first side plate about the first slot. The webbing capture area further includes a second pin, the second pin fixed in the first side plate distal from the first pin, such that upon rotation of the first side plate, the second pin rotates on a lever arm of the first side plate. The slot has a first position and a second position and when the first pin is in the first position the first side plate in non-rotatable and when the first pin is in the second position the first side plate is rotatable.

Tourniquet buckle assembly

The present invention relates generally to first aid articles and more specifically tourniquets suitable for one handed application. One embodiment of the invention is directed to a tourniquet having a base defining first and second ends. A constricting band is attached to and extends from the first end of the base. A windlass handle is engaged with the constricting band. The constricting band is threaded through a self cinching stepped buckle. A buckle connector includes a hook member that engages the stepped buckle and is partly held in place through urging against a loop of the constriction band.

Belt ratcheting device with hidden blade II
11517077 · 2022-12-06 ·

The Belt Ratcheting Device with Hidden Blade II (HB-II) facilitates unidirectional belt fastening and fast release. The HB-II includes a turning gate rotatably installed diagonally in a channel. The turning gate has a hidden sharp blade front which operates below on the lower belt surface avoiding visible scratches. The turning gate is connected to a lever by a spring. The HB-II has two states: “active” and “inactive”. In the active state the device works as a belt ratchet i.e. allowing the belt to be pulled forwards but restricting any belt motion backwards. In the inactive state the ratcheting is disabled and the belt is released. The HB-II is controlled by the lever's position. After fastening, the belt remains fastened until the HB-II is switched manually into inactive state by moving the lever. The blade's smooth side and channel's smooth surfaces minimize belt wear.

Integrated closure device components and methods

A lace tensioning device includes a housing component having an interior region, a first aperture, and a second aperture, and a spool component that is rotatably positionable within the interior region of the housing component. The spool component has a central cylindrical member and a lumen that extends through the central cylindrical portion. The spool component is rotatable within the interior region of the housing component to align one end of the lumen with the first aperture and to align an opposite end of the lumen with the second aperture to enable a lace to be inserted through the first aperture, the lumen, and the second aperture so that opposing ends of the lace are positioned exterior to the housing component. A knot may then be tied in the lace and the lace retracted to couple the lace with the housing component and spool component.

A clasp is configured to permanently interlock around a flexible strip of material and includes first and second interlocking members. At least one interlocking member includes a Bluetooth communication device. Each interlocking member can include a plurality of hooks and a corresponding plurality of recesses, where the recesses of one interlocking member receive the hooks of the other interlocking member to secure a band within the clasp between the interlocking members. The recesses can be completely internal to the clasp to prevent external tampering. Each of the interlocking members can include various protrusions and ribs that compress and secure the band within the clasp, so as to prevent movement of the band between the interlocking members when interlocked.
