METHOD OF EXTRACTION
The present disclosure relates to methods and an apparatus for extracting terpenes and rosin from resinous wood with an agent that comprises, consists or consists essentially of a terpene to thereby extract the rosin and/or terpene fractions from the resinous wood. The apparatus for extracting rosin and/or terpene fractions comprises a treatment chamber for treating the resinous wood with the agent. The treatment chamber is in communication with a distillation chamber for separating the rosin and terpene fractions extracted from the resinous wood.

Dry milling additive and process
Provided are processes of preventing or eliminating caking of particulate materials during milling operations. Processes include the addition of an anti-caking additive such as a rosin, abietic acid, fatty acid, or derivative of any of the foregoing to a mill prior to or along with a particulate chemical, and milling the combination. The addition of the anti-caking additive prevents or reduces the amount of caking observed thereby increasing yields and maintaining or enhancing the resulting properties of the milled product.
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND A TIRE COMPRISING A RUBBER COMPOSITION
A rubber composition comprising 50 phr to 100 phr of a styrene butadiene rubber; 0 phr to 50 phr of at least one diene based rubber; 95 phr to 200 phr of filler comprising i) 50 phr to 100 phr of silica, ii) 40 phr to 70 phr of carbon black and iii) 5 phr to 30 phr of an inorganic metal hydroxide; 40 phr to 80 phr of plasticizer comprising a hydrocarbon resin having a softening point within a range of 80° C. and 130° C.

HOT MELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING AN ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS ALIPHATIC PLASTICIZER
The inventors have discovered hot melt adhesive compositions that can be formulated to have a high percentage of environmentally conscious components and still provide performance over a broad temperature range.
The invention features a hot melt adhesive composition including from 5% by weight to 50% by weight of a thermoplastic polymer, from 10% by weight to 80% by weight of a bio-based tackifying agent, and from 2% by weight to 50% by weight of an environmentally conscious aliphatic plasticizer having a cyclo-aliphatic content of no more than 2% by weight as tested by .sup.1H-NMR Spectroscopy.

Flexible polyurethane foam having prolonged recovery time
Recovery times and/or airflow of flexible polyurethane foam is increased by including certain tackifiers in the foam formulation. The tackifiers are formed into an emulsion that includes a polyether containing oxyethylene groups, a nonionic surfactant and certain fumed silica, carbon black or talc particles.
