The present invention discloses a rubber composition, a processing method for obtaining the rubber composition, and application of the composition in processing of flame-retardant products. The rubber composition includes a rubber matrix and essential components. The rubber matrix includes a branched polyethylene with a content represented as A, in which 0<A≤100, and an EPM and an EPDM with a total content represented as B, in which 0≤B<100. The essential components include 1.5 to 10 parts of a crosslinking agent and 40 to 300 parts of a flame-retardant agent. The rubber composition can be applied to production of flame-retardant products, such as flame-retardant cable, flame-retardant cool air hose for automobile, flame-retardant sealing strip, high-temperature-resistant flame-retardant conveyor belt, and flame-retardant waterproof coil. The products have good flame-retardant effects and mechanical properties.

Methods and systems of the invention, for achieving a liquid-applicable, aqueous-based coating composition that forms a water-impermeable, vapor permeable barrier coating when applied onto a construction surface and allowed to dry, involve mixing together separate first and second components, wherein the first component comprises an acrylic emulsion, flame retardant, clay, and optionally at least one additive selected from thickeners (e.g., cellulosic), fillers, and other conventional additives; and wherein the second component comprises a freezing point depressing agent with a specific type of thickener selected from the group of associative thickeners, alkali soluble emulsion thickeners, or mixture thereof, to obtain the liquid-applicable coating. The present invention achieves low temperature film formation without reliance upon calcium nitrite, calcium nitrate, or sodium chloride type of freezing point depressing salts. The coating can be applied at low (e.g., sub-freezing) temperatures onto a construction surface such as wood, fiberboard, gypsum, cement, concrete, and other building substrates to achieve an effective barrier membrane.

The rubber composition for a conveyor belt contains: rubber components including natural rubber and butadiene rubber; a vulcanizing agent; a vulcanization accelerator; carbon black; chlorinated paraffin; and antimony trioxide. A mass ratio of content of the natural rubber to content of the butadiene rubber (natural rubber content:butadiene rubber content) is 25:75 to 45:55.

Also, the present invention provides a method for producing [1,1′-binaphthalene]-2,2′,7,7′-tetraol, the method including a step of bringing a crude product produced by dimerization reaction of naphthalene-2,7-diol or a naphthalene-2,7-diol derivative into contact with an aromatic solvent; a step of separating [1,1′-binaphthalene]-2,2′,7,7′-tetraol dissolved in the aromatic solvent from insoluble substances; and a step of removing the solvent from a solution of [1,1′-binaphthalene]-2,2′,7,7′-tetraol. The present invention also provides a method for producing an epoxy compound, the method including reacting [1,1′-binaphthalene]-2,2′,7,7′-tetraol or [1,1′-binaphthalene]-2,2′,7,7′-tetraol monohydrate with epihalohydrin.

A phosphorus-containing polyester composite and method of manufacturing the same is related to the field of compound formulation. The composite is prepared by condensation under certain conditions of (A) a poly-functional phosphorus-containing aromatic hydroxy compound; (B) a difunctional aromatic acryl chloride compound and (C) a monofunctional aromatic phenol compound used as a blocking agent. The composite is used as a curing agent for epoxy. The phosphorus-containing polyester composite is reacted with the epoxy group of the epoxy to obtain non-halogen and flame-retardant cured composite being environment friendly and having low dielectric, low dielectric loss factor and high heat resistance. It can be used in an integrated circuit board and used as a semiconductor packaging material.
