Resins for use as tie layer in multilayer structure and multilayer structures comprising the same
The present invention provides resins that can be used as a tie layer in a multilayer structure and to multilayer structures including one or more tie layers formed from such resins. In one aspect, a resin for use as a tie layer in a multilayer structure that includes a high density polyethylene having a density greater than 0.960 g/cm3, wherein the high density polyethylene includes 1 to 99 weight percent of the resin, a maleic anhydride grafted high density polyethylene, wherein the maleic anhydride grafted high density polyethylene includes 1 to 99 weight percent of the resin, and a catalyst including at least one Lewis acid.

The liquid epoxy resin compositions include one or more liquid epoxy resins containing a reactive oxirane structure or epoxide group, while the liquid epoxy curing agent composition comprises one or more epoxy curing agents. The liquid epoxy resin and liquid epoxy curing agent compositions are mixed together to provide a dual functioning epoxy-based formulation that, when applied to a substrate and cured, provides a cured three-dimensional cross-linked thermoset dual acting epoxy-based product having both the moisture vapor barrier and the primer functionalities.

Provided are a polyamide resin, a molded article, and a method for producing the polyamide resin that excels in an oxygen barrier property, exhibits a sufficiently low yellowing index, and suppresses the occurrence of fish eyes. The polyamide resin includes a structural unit derived from a diamine and structural unit derived from a dicarboxylic acid, 70 mol % or more of the structural unit derived from a diamine being derived from meta-xylylenediamine, of the structural unit derived from a dicarboxylic acid, from 30 to 70 mol % being derived from an ,-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having from 4 to 20 carbons, and from 70 to 30 mol % being derived from isophthalic acid (provided that a total of the structural unit derived from a dicarboxylic acid does not exceed 100 mol %). The polyamide resin includes a phosphorus atom at a proportion from 50 to 150 ppm by mass, and a sodium atom at a proportion such that a molar ratio of the phosphorus atom to the sodium atom is from 1:1 to 1:2.
