The invention relates to a polyester resin which is based on at least one fatty acid, with zero oil length (0%) or an oil length of between 0 and 35%, with a weight ratio of oxidizable fatty acids (monoacids), relative to the overall fatty acids, of 0 or greater than 0 and ranging up to 1, and which is based on an acid component comprising, in addition to the fatty acid, from 30% to 85% by weight, relative to the total weight of said resin, of rosin and/or of derivatives thereof bearing at least one carboxylic acid function.
AQUEOUS POLYMER DISPERSIONS, A METHOD FOR THEIR PREPARATION AND THE USE THEREOF AS POUR-POINT DEPRESSANTS FOR CRUDE OIL, PETROLEUM, AND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS
The invention relates to aqueous polymer dispersions comprising at least one polymer obtainable by the reaction of at least one monomer M1 of the general formula H.sub.2CCHC(O)OR (I), wherein R is an unbranched alkyl chain comprising from 18 to 22 carbon atoms, and optionally at least one monomer M2. The invention relates moreover to a method for the preparing of such aqueous polymer dispersion and the use thereof as pour point depressant for crude oil, petroleum, and petroleum products.
PRE-TREATMENT COATING COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure provides pre-treatment compositions and related methods. As such, a pre-treatment coating composition can include an evaporable liquid vehicle and a pre-treatment coating matrix. The pre-treatment coating matrix can include from 5 wt % to 40 wt % multivalent metal salt, and from 5 wt % to 20 wt % coalescent latex binder comprising styrene-butadiene rubber, polyurethane, or mixture thereof. The composition can further include from 30 wt % to 80 wt % high Tg latex having a Tg greater than 80 C., from 0.5 wt % to 20 wt % water soluble binder, and from 3 wt % to 20 wt % wax having a melting point greater than 120 C. The weight percentages of the pre-treatment coating matrix exclude the evaporable liquid vehicle content.
Methacrylic resin
Methacrylic resin having high heat resistance, highly controlled birefringence, excellent color tone and transparency, and excellent moldability is provided. A methacrylic resin comprises a structural unit (B) having a cyclic structure-containing main chain, the structural unit (B) including at least one structural unit selected from the group consisting of an N-substituted maleimide-based structural unit (B-1) and a lactone ring structural unit (B-2), wherein a glass transition temperature is more than 120 C. and 160 C. or less, an amount of a methanol-soluble content is 5 mass % or less relative to 100 mass % of a total amount of the methanol-soluble content and a methanol-insoluble content in the methacrylic resin, and an yellowness index YI measured using a 10 cm optical path length cell for a 20 w/v % chloroform solution of the methanol-insoluble content is 0 to 7.
Aqueous composition with improved elongation at break
An aqueous polymer composition which when in the form of a film shows excellent elongation at break comprising (i) 5 to 30 wt. % of polyurethane where the acid value of the polyurethane is between 3 to 40 mg KOH/g; (ii) 70 to 95 wt. % of vinyl polymer comprising 20 to 90 wt. % of vinyl polymer with Tg<20 C.; 10 to 80 wt. % of vinyl polymer with Tg20 C.; where at least one of the vinyl polymers contains acid functional groups with acid value in the range of from 15 and 240 mg KOH/g.
Aqueous composition with improved elongation at break

Polythiophene/Polyanion Compositions
A conductive polymer dispersion comprising a polythiophene and a polyanion, characterized in that the polyanion is a homo- or copolymer of amonomer unit according to Formula (I), wherein any of R.sub.1 to R.sub.5 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen, an ether and a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with the proviso that at least one of R.sub.1 to R.sub.5 is a substituent according to Formula (II), wherein L represents a divalent linking group having less than (20) carbon atoms; n represents 0 or 1; R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkaryl group and a substituted or unsubstituted aryl or heteroaryl group; any of L, R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 may represent the necessary atoms to form a 5 to 8 membered ring; M represents hydrogen or a counterion to compensate the negative charge of the sulfonate group; the dashed line represents a covalent bond to the phenyl ring of Formula (I).

POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE POWDER, BINDER FOR ELECTRODE, ELECTRODE MIXTURE, ELECTRODE, AND SECONDARY BATTERY
The disclosure aims to provide a polytetrafluoroethylene powder for an electrode binder which can not only reduce or prevent gas generation inside a battery cell and deterioration of battery characteristics but also improve the electrode strength, an electrode binder, an electrode mixture, an electrode, and a secondary battery. Provided is a polytetrafluoroethylene powder for use as an electrode binder, the polytetrafluoroethylene having a standard specific gravity of 2.200 or less and being substantially free from water.
Polythiophene/Polyanion Compositions
A polythiophene dispersion including: (a) a polythiophene copolymer of a first monomer according to Formula I and a second monomer to Formula II, wherein A represents a substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 to C.sub.5 alkylene bridge further functionalized with at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a sulfonic acid or salt thereof, a phosphonic acid or salt thereof, a phosphate ester or salt thereof, a sulfate ester or salt thereof and a carboxylic acid or salt thereof; B represents a substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 to C.sub.5 alkylene bridge with the proviso that B is not further functionalized with a pH responsive group; and a molar ratio of the first monomer to the second monomer is from 1/4 to 4/1, (b) a polymeric polyanion wherein at least 75 mol % of the monomeric units of the polymeric polyanion are functionalized with a functional group selected from the group consisting of a sulfonic acid or salt thereof, a phosphonic acid or salt thereof, a phosphate ester or salt thereof, a sulfate ester or salt thereof and a carboxylic acid or salt thereof, characterized in that a molar ratio of the functional groups of the polyanion to the sum of the first and second monomers of the polythiophene copolymer is from 1.1 to 1.75.
