The present invention provides water-based energy curable compositions that exhibit improved printability, adhesion, opacity, and wash-up properties. The compositions comprise one or more inert water-based polyurethane resins and one or more water-based phosphate esters. Addition of the inert polyurethane resins and phosphate esters improves adhesion of the energy curable compositions to a variety of substrates.

The polyol contains a polycarbonate polyol. The polyurethane resin has a crosslink density of 0.02 mol/kg or more and 0.28 mol/kg or less.

WATER-SOLUBLE DIBLOCK COPOLYMER
The invention relates to the field of block copolymers, particularly to the field of water-soluble or water-dispersible copolymers consisting of two blocks, of which the major block is a hydrophilic thermoplastic block. More particularly, the invention relates to a block copolymer consisting of a partially or totally hydrophilic elastomeric block, with a Tg of less than 30° C. and comprising at least one hydrophilic monomer, and a water-soluble thermoplastic block with a Tg of greater than 30° C. and comprising at least one monomer bearing a carboxyl group, said copolymer being partially or totally soluble in water or in aqueous medium, and the mass proportion of the thermoplastic block being greater than 50% of the weight of said copolymer.
DERIVATIZED POLYIMIDES AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING
The present invention provides comb polymer compositions comprising phosphorus acid group containing backbone polymers of six-membered cyclic methacrylic imide having one or more side chain ether group containing N-substituent chosen from an ether group, a polyether group, an etheramine group, a polyetheramine group, an ether group crosslinking the backbone polymer chains, and a polyether group crosslinking the backbone polymer chains. The backbone polymers comprise from 60 to 100 wt. %, based on the total weight of monomers used to make the backbone polymer, of methacrylic acid polymerized units, regardless of their form, and from 7.5 to 95 wt. % of such polymerized units as methacrylic anhydride groups or six-membered cyclic methacrylic imide groups.
WATER-BASED PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS
A pressure-sensitive adhesive is provided that is a dried product of a latex composition, which is formed from an emulsion composition. The latex composition and the emulsion composition are also provided. The emulsion composition has droplets that contain various monomers plus a (meth)acrylate polymer and a hydrogenated hydrocarbon tackifier dissolved in the monomers. Additionally, an article containing a layer of the pressure-sensitive adhesive and a method of forming the pressure-sensitive adhesive are provided. The pressure-sensitive adhesives often have both high peel adhesion and high shear strength (i.e., high cohesive strength or high shear holding power).
WATER-BASED PAINT COMPOSITION
A water-based paint composition has performance to decompose ozone. The water-based paint composition includes a manganese oxide-based catalyst, an activated carbon, a polyacrylate-based dispersant, a water-soluble resin, a pH adjuster, and a water-based solvent.
AQUEOUS MODIFIED POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE DISPERSION
A modified polytetrafluoroethylene aqueous dispersion having low viscosity at high temperature. The modified polytetrafluoroethylene aqueous dispersion contains a modified polytetrafluoroethylene and a nonionic surfactant, has a modified polytetrafluoroethylene solid concentration of 50 to 70% by mass, is substantially free from a fluorine-containing surfactant, and has a viscosity at 55° C. of 80 mPa•s or lower, and the modified polytetrafluoroethylene contains 0.050% by mass or more and 1.00% by mass or less of a polymerized unit based on a modifying monomer.
Mold material, molding method, mold object, and molding apparatus
A molding apparatus includes a heating section, a spreading section, a molding section, a drawing section and a curing section. The heating section which heats a mold material including particles and a binder agent which bonds together the particles, to a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the binder agent and forms a fluid mold material. The spreading section forms a mold layer by spreading the fluid mold material. The molding section layers the mold layers. The drawing section applies UV ink to a desired region of the mold layer. The curing section cures the UV ink applied to the desired region of the mold layer.
PRODUCTION OF PAPER AND BOARD
A process for producing paper or board, which process comprises ad-mixing (I) an aqueous composition of pH ≦6 and (II) at least one water-soluble polymeric anionic compound to a paper stock having a pH in the range from 6 to 8 and then dewatering the paper stock by sheet formation and drying, wherein the aqueous composition comprises (a) polymers having primary amino groups and/or amidine groups to a combined content for these groups of ≧1.5 meq/g of polymer, and (b) 0.01 to 50 mol % of 1,4-cyclohexanedione (b) based on the combined amount of primary amino groups and/or amidine groups of the polymers, and also to the paper or board thus obtained.
