A tire dressing composition is provided that includes petroleum distillates in which a polybutene or isobutene/butene copolymer is dissolved to form a clear solution. In the water-based approach, the polybutene or isobutene/butene copolymer was emulsified by a surfactant. A wetting agent is also present in the composition to render the composition self-levelling. The sprayable tire dressing composition provides a high gloss and good wettability to a tire surface that develops a uniform coating on the treated tire surface.

Calcium-doped magnesium carbonate-polymer-based synergistic phase change composite

A heat energy storage system may have a shape-stabilized composite prepared using an easy impregnation method involving a porous Ca.sup.2+-doped MgCO.sub.3 matrix and PEG as the functional phase. The heat storage capability, microstructures, and interactions with the PEG/CaMgCO.sub.3 composite can be characterized by DSC, SEM imaging, FT-IR spectroscopy, and TGA. Likely because of the synergistic phase change effect of CaMgCO.sub.3 and PEG, the PEG/CaMgCO.sub.3 composites can have high thermal enthalpies, and their enthalpy efficiencies are substantially higher than those of traditional shape stabilized PCMs. The functional material PEG can permeate porous CaMgCO.sub.3 matrices under capillary action. Liquid PEG can be stabilized within the porous matrix, and/or the CaMgCO.sub.3 matrix can improve the thermal stability of the PEG. The high heat energy storage properties and good thermal stability of such organic-inorganic composites offers utility in a range of applications, including thermal energy storage.

Method of mixing rubber composition and system for mixing rubber composition
10618017 · 2020-04-14 · ·

A method of mixing a rubber composition includes a carbon introduction step and a uniform dispersion step. In the carbon introduction step, on the basis of a deviation between a rate of temperature increase of the rubber mixture (R) and a target value, at least one of a ram pressure (Pr) and a rotational speed (N) of the mixing rotor (2) is PID controlled so that the ultimate temperature of the rubber mixture (R) at the conclusion of the step is within a tolerance range. In the uniform dispersion step, the ram pressure (Pr) or the rotational speed (N) of the mixing rotor (2) is adjusted to reduce a deviation between a value based on successively detected data associated with a predetermined control target and a target value.
