POLYMER COMPOSITIONS AND FOAMS COMPRISING POLYMER COMPOSITIONS
Embodiments are directed to polymer compositions and foams including polymer compositions. Embodiments of the polymer composition may include at least 55 wt. %, based on the total weight of the polymer composition, of a polyolefin elastomer having an ethylene content of from greater than 50 wt. % to less than 80 wt. % and a cross-linkable blend comprising: (i) from 1 wt. % to 99 wt. %, based on the total weight of the cross-linkable blend, of an E/X/Y polymer and (ii) from 1 wt. % to 99 wt. %, based on the total weight of the cross-linkable blend, of an epoxycontaining polymer.

The disclosure provides a low-density PVC plastics flooring and a preparation method thereof, which belongs to the technical field of films for floor. The disclosure provides a low-density PVC plastics flooring, which is prepared from components including, in parts by mass, 100 parts of PVC, 300-380 parts of calcium carbonate, 7-12 parts of a stabilizer, 2-8 parts of processing aid ACR, 12-16 parts of a foaming regulator, 0.1-0.5 parts of a foaming agent, 2-4 parts of G60 lubricant, and 2-4 parts of PE wax. In the disclosure, the density of the PVC plastics flooring is reduced to 1.4-1.6 g/cm.sup.3 even increasing the amount of calcium carbon, thereby greatly reducing the production cost and improving the economic efficiency.
Modified starch compositions, starch composite foam materials and method for preparing the starch composite foam material
The present disclosure provides a modified starch composition. The modified starch composition includes starch with a terminal siloxane having 100 parts by weight, water having 30-70 parts by weight, and a polyol having 5-35 parts by weight. A polymer composition for use in the removal and recovery of oil slicks or spills floating on the surfaces of bodies or water or present on land, such as beaches comprising a foam of a blend of polyethylene and an ethylene-alkyl acrylate copolymer and a process for using such foams in the selective removal of oil from fresh water or salt water and the recovery of the absorbed oils from the foams is disclosed. The polymer composition is also for use in other applications in which absorption of liquids is desired.
ETHYLENE-COPOLYMER RUBBERS
A composition comprising an ethylene copolymer comprising units derived from ethylene, at least one C.sub.3-C.sub.20 α-olefin, and at least one non-conjugated diene, wherein the copolymer contains (i) up to and including 58% by weight based on the total weight of the copolymer of units derived from ethylene, preferably from 35 to 56% by weight and more preferably from 38 to 52% by weight; (ii) up to and including 57% by weight, preferably from 17 to 55% by weight, based on the total weight of the copolymer of units derived from the at least one C.sub.3-C.sub.20 α-olefins, preferably from propylene; wherein the ethylene copolymer has from about 80 up to about 125 units derived from the one or more diene per polymer chain and wherein the ethylene copolymer is mixed with the oil and the total amount of oil in the composition is 29 phr or less and wherein the composition contains from 60% by weight to 100% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition which is 100%, of ethylene copolymer and oil. Also provided are rubber compositions and rubber compounds and articles comprising the copolymer, and methods of making such articles, compositions and compounds.
