Insert for a child safety seat
An insert for repositioning at least one of the harness straps of a child safety seat in order to accommodate an occupant smaller than the harness is configured to accommodate, wherein the insert is adapted to locate between the child safety seat and the occupant and includes a pair of waist strap guides, each waist strap guide configured to allow a waist strap of the harness to extend through and exit the waist strap guide at a position narrower than where the waist strap exits the child safety seat.
Interlocking web connectors for occupant restraint systems and associated methods of use and manufacture
Web connectors for use in occupant restraint systems in a vehicle are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, first and second web connectors include first and second web receiving portions, respectively. The first web receiving portion includes a first projection at a first side and a first recess adjacent a second side opposite the first side. The first recess includes a first surface feature. The second web receiving portion includes a second recess and a second projection having a second surface feature. In this embodiment, the second recess is configured to receive the first projection, the first recess is configured to receive the second projection, and the first surface feature is configured to engage the second surface feature to resist movement between the first and second connectors during use.
Buckle device
In a buckle device, wire ropes and a coiled cord run through the inside of a tubular buckle guide. Here, a partition wall is provided inside the buckle guide, and the inside of the buckle guide is partitioned by the partition wall into a wire rope side and a coiled cord side. Due to this, the coiled cord can be prevented from contacting the wire ropes inside the buckle guide.
Seatbelt buckle apparatuses including switch wire harnesses and strain relief thereof
A seatbelt buckle apparatus for a motor vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a buckle housing that provides at least part of a structure for selectively coupling a seatbelt latch plate to the apparatus. A switch housing houses at least part of a switch. The switch monitors whether or not the seatbelt latch plate is coupled to the seatbelt buckle apparatus. A switch wire harness is in communication with the switch. A strain relief-guide feature carries and guides a section of the switch wire harness so as to provide strain relief to the switch wire harness when a force is applied to the switch wire harness downstream from the strain relief-guide feature.
SEATBELT BUCKLE ASSEMBLIES AND SEAT ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING THE SAME
The seatbelt buckle assembly comprises a buckle; a buckle supporting member connected to the buckle and including thereupon a first aperture and an opposing second aperture spaced apart along a width direction together to receive a fastener for assembling the buckle supporting member to the structural frame; and a spring to contact the buckle supporting member and the structural frame.
Safety buckle device
A safety buckle device includes a first buckle part having a partially closed space with an opening, and a second buckle part having a body, a guiding tongue, and a control key. When locking the safety buckle device, a springing detent is adapted to lock against a locking element. The control key has two recesses having different depths and arranged adjacent each other in the longitudinal direction of the control key. The detent achieves a first locking when the control key is actuated, and the detent achieves a second locking when the control key no longer is actuated, or the detent achieves a locking when the control key is not actuated. The detent is adapted to be released when the control key is actuated again, or when the control key is actuated.
Seat belt buckle presenter
A belt buckle feeder (10) comprises a belt buckle (18), a stationary base member (12) to be mounted fixedly on the vehicle and a motor-driven slide (16) movably supported on the base member (12) to which the belt buckle (18) is coupled, wherein the slide (16) encloses the base member (12) at least in portions.
LOAD INDICATORS FOR PERSONAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Buckle assemblies having load indicating features and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a buckle assembly includes a tang having an opening that receives a web to secure the buckle assembly to a vehicle or a seat structure. The tang also includes an elongate aperture and one or more deformable protrusions along the edge of the aperture. The tang is operably coupled to a buckle frame via a coupling member that extends through the aperture. Upon the application of a sufficient load to the tang, the coupling member deforms the protrusion(s), allowing the tang to move relative to the frame. Movement of the tang relative to the frame can move a colored load indicating region to a position that is visible through a window in a housing of the buckle assembly.
Buckle arrangement
The present disclosure relates to a buckle arrangement for a seat for a vehicle or vessel. The buckle arrangement comprises a casing, an insertion slot for inserting a latch into the casing, a locking mechanism for locking the latch and a release element for releasing the locking mechanism, allowing releasing of the latch. The locking mechanism is enclosed in the casing and the insertion slot is adapted for guiding the latch to the locking mechanism. The buckle arrangement further comprises an insertion frame surrounding the insertion slot and a buckle frame surrounding the insertion frame and the release element, wherein the insertion frame is connectable to the casing in such a way that a portion of a skin of the seat is clampable between the insertion frame and the casing. The disclosure further relates to a seat for a vehicle or vessel comprising such a buckle arrangement.
