Polymeric compositions for enhancing grip
A polymeric composition for enhancing grip, including a modified solvent phase and a solid phase dispersed within the modified solvent phase. The modified solvent phase may include calcium-based gel, including calcium acetate particles partially dissolved in an alcoholic solution. The solid phase also includes a polymeric matrix and a plurality of desiccant particles encompassed by the polymeric matrix. The polymeric matrix includes polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) and a thickener.

A golf ball includes a core, a mid layer, and a cover. An amount of compressive deformation C3 of the golf ball can be not less than 2.80 mm. The golf ball can satisfy the following mathematical formulas (1) and (2):

RUBBER COMPOSITION
A rubber composition, which exhibits an improved fatigue strength and stiffness performance compromise, is based on at least one elastomer matrix containing at least one polyisoprene and at least one copolymer containing ethylene units and diene units; a paraffin oil having a glass transition temperature of less than -75° C.; a reinforcing filler comprising carbon black; and a crosslinking system, in which the at least one polyisoprene and the at least one copolymer containing ethylene units and diene units represent more than 40% by weight of the elastomer matrix.
SEALANT COMPOSITION
A one-part room temperature vulcanisable (RTV) silicone composition containing a catalyst comprising (i) a titanate and/or zirconate and (ii) a metal carboxylate salt which cures to a silicone elastomer which may be used as a clear sealant which avoids discolouration and loss of adhesion upon aging.
Functionalized Polymers Tread Additive For Improved Wet Braking And Rolling Resistance In High Silica Summer Tire
An elastomeric composition is disclosed. The elastomeric composition includes, per 100 parts by weight of rubber (phr): about 5 to about 30 phr of polybutadiene having a cis-1,4 linkage content of at least 95%; about 60 to 100 phr of a styrene/butadiene copolymer; an antioxidant; about 1 to about 20 phr carbon black; about 100-140 phr silica; a silane coupling agent and about 5 to about 40 phr of a polymer selected from the group consisting of ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer, butyl rubber, poly(isobutylene-co-para-methylstyrene) and poly (isobutylene-co-para-methylstyrene-co-isoprene) terpolymer. The polymer based on ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer, butyl rubber, poly(isobutylene-co-para-methylstyrene) and poly (isobutylene-co-para-methylstyrene-co-isoprene) terpolymer may be functionalized.
RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED BODY
A resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (I) and a hydrogenated block copolymer (II), wherein the hydrogenated block copolymer (II) is a hydrogenated product of a block copolymer (P) containing a polymer block (A) containing a structural unit derived from an aromatic vinyl compound and a polymer block (B) containing 1 to 100% by mass of a structural unit (b1) derived from farnesene and 99 to 0% by mass of a structural unit (b2) derived from a conjugated diene other than farnesene, wherein the hydrogenation rate of carbon-carbon double bonds in the structural unit derived from a conjugated diene in the block copolymer (P) is 70 mol % or more, and in the resin composition, the content of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (I) is 40 to 95% by mass and the content of the hydrogenated block copolymer (II) is 5 to 60% by mass.

Expandable chlorinated vinyl chloride-based resin particles from which a chlorinated vinyl chloride-based resin foamed molded product achieving both high expansion ratio and excellent surface appearance are provided. The expandable chlorinated vinyl chloride-based resin particles have a porosity of not more than 5.5 (ml/100 g).
Prepreg, method for producing same, and slit tape prepreg
A prepreg is provided that has excellent processability and handleability and that can be processed into a cured product with high heat resistance. Also provided is a method to produce such a prepreg in an industrially advantageous way without being restricted by the types and contents of the matrix resin components used. The prepreg includes at least components [A] to [D] as given below and a preliminary reaction product that is a reaction product of the component [B] and the component [C], at least one surface resin in the prepreg having a storage elastic modulus G′ in the range of 1.0×10.sup.3 to 2.0×10.sup.8 Pa as measured at a temperature of 40° C. and an angular frequency in the range of 0.06 to 314 rad/s: [A] carbon fiber, [B] epoxy resin, [C] curing agent, and [D] thermoplastic resin.
Compatibilized polymer composition comprising a polyamide
The present invention relates to a polymer composition (C) comprising at least one polyamide (P1), and from 1 to 50 wt. %, based on the total weight of (C), of at least one functionalized polymer (P2), wherein P2 is a poly(aryl ether sulfone) (PAES) having at least one functional group (SO.sub.3.sup.−), (M.sup.p+).sub.1/p in which M.sup.p+ is a metal cation of p valence. The present invention also relates to articles incorporating the polymer composition (C) and the use of functionalized polymer (P2) as a compatibilizer in the polymer composition (C) comprising two immiscible polymers.
Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer/lignin blends
A thermoplastic acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer/lignin blend is provided, whereas the blend comprises (i) an amount of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer; (ii) an amount of lignin; and (iii) an amount of compatibilizing agent capable of imparting improved ductility and impact strength to the resultant blend. Methods of improving impact strength and ductility of a thermoplastic acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer/lignin blend and articles made therefrom are also disclosed.
