A liquid crystal polyester resin composition containing 100 parts by mass of a liquid crystal polyester resin; and at least 5 parts by mass and at most 100 parts by mass of glass components; wherein the glass components contain glass fibers having a length of more than 50 m and glass fine powders having a length of at least 4 m and at most 50 m; the number-average fiber length of the glass fibers is at least 200 m and at most 400 m; and the content of the fine powders is at least 20% and at most 95% relative to a total number of the glass components.

Both the semicrystalline plastic and the amorphous plastic be present as a mixture in the compound.
Multilayered polyolefin-based films having a layer comprising a crystalline block copolymer composite or a block copolymer composite resin
Disclosed are multilayer film structures including a layer (B) that includes a crystalline block copolymer composite (CBC) or a specified block copolymer composite (BC), including i) an ethylene polymer (EP) including at least 80 mol % polymerized ethylene; ii) an alpha-olefin-based crystalline polymer (CAOP) and iii) a block copolymer including (a) an ethylene polymer block including at least 80 mol % polymerized ethylene and (b) a crystalline alpha-olefin block (CAOB); and a layer C that includes a polyolefin having at least one melting peak greater than 125 C, the top facial surface of layer C in adhering contact with the bottom facial surface of layer B. Such multilayer film structure preferably includes (A) a seal layer A having a bottom facial surface in adhering contact with the top facial surface of layer B. Such films are suited for use in electronic device (ED) modules including an electronic device such as a PV cell.

The invention relates to a polypropylene composition (C) comprising: (i) 62 to 85 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the polypropylene composition (C), of a heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO1) with a melt flow rate MFR.sub.2 (230 C.) measured according to ISO 1133 in the range of 6.0 to 50.0 g/10 min; (ii) 10 to 30 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the polypropylene composition (C), of a heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO2) with a melt flow rate MFR.sub.2 (230 C.) measured according to ISO 1133 in the range of 0.1 to 5.5 g/10 min; (iii) 5 to 30 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the polypropylene composition (C), of an inorganic filler (F); wherein (a) the xylene cold soluble (XCS) fraction of the heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO1) has a lower amount [in mol %] of C.sub.2 and/or C.sub.4 to C.sub.12 -olefin derived comonomer units than the xylene cold soluble (XCS) fraction of the heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO2); (b) the xylene cold soluble (XCS) fraction of the heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO1) has a lower the intrinsic viscosity (IV) than the xylene cold soluble (XCS) fraction of the heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO2); and (c) the xylene cold soluble (XCS) fraction of the heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO2) has an intrinsic viscosity (IV) in the range of 6.0 to 15.0 dl/g.
Liquid crystal polyester resin composition
A liquid crystal polyester resin composition includes a liquid crystal polyester (A) including repeating units represented by formulae (I) to (III), ##STR00001##
a liquid crystal polyester (B) including repeating units represented by formulae (IV) and (V), ##STR00002##
and surface-treated glass fibers (C) including an epoxy resin on the surface thereof, wherein the mass ratio of (A) to (B) [A/B] is from 90/10 to 45/55, the content of (C) is from 10 to 130 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the total amount of (A) and (B), and as measured in a bending test using a strip-like molded article (length: 127 mm, width: 12.7 mm, thickness: 0.5 mm), the bending strength and the bending elastic modulus of the liquid crystal polyester resin composition are equal to or more than 330 MPa and equal to or more than 20 GPa, respectively.
FLEXIBLE PREPREG AND USES THEREOF
A prepreg is provided. The prepreg is prepared by impregnating a liquid crystal polymer non-woven fabric with a thermal-curable resin composition or by coating a thermal-curable resin composition onto a liquid crystal polymer non-woven fabric and drying the impregnated or coated liquid crystal polymer non-woven fabric, wherein the thermal-curable resin composition includes: (A) an unsaturated monomer; and (B) a cyclic olefin copolymer including the following repeating units: (B-1) a repeating unit of formula (I),

##STR00003## R.sup.1 to R.sup.22, m, n, o, and p in formulas (I) to (III) are as defined in the specification, wherein based on the total moles of the repeating units (B-1) to (B-3), the content of the repeating unit (B-2) is 19 mol % to 36 mol %, and wherein the weight ratio of the cyclic olefin copolymer (B) to the unsaturated monomer (A) is 0.5 to 7.

Cyclic Olefin Copolymers and Films Prepared Therefrom
The present disclosure provides copolymers comprising from about 0.5 wt % to about 25 wt % cyclic olefin content and films comprising the copolymers. In one embodiment, a copolymer includes a C.sub.2-C.sub.40 monomer content of from about 75 wt % to about 99.5 wt %; and a C.sub.5-C.sub.40 cyclic olefin comonomer content of from about 0.5 wt % to about 25 wt %. The copolymer has a density of about 0.91 g/cm.sup.3 to about 0.933 g/cm.sup.3. Films of the present disclosure can have advantageous mechanical properties (such as melt strength) and optical properties (such as haze %).
Blends of Cyclic Olefin Copolymers and Films Prepared Therefrom
This invention relates to blend, and films thereof, comprising: 1) semicrystalline cyclic olefin copolymer comprising less than 15 wt % of a C.sub.5-C.sub.40 cyclic olefin comonomer and greater than 85 wt % of a C.sub.2-C.sub.40 linear and/or branched olefin monomer content having a density of about 0.92 g/cm.sup.3 to about 0.94 g/cm.sup.3, modulus less than 20-80 kpsi, an elongation at break of 150-500%, and a glass transition temperatures less than 38 C.; 2) an amorphous cyclic olefin copolymer comprising more than 25 wt % of a C.sub.5-C.sub.40 cyclic olefin comonomer and less than 75 wt % of a C.sub.2-C.sub.40 linear and/or branched olefin monomer having a density greater than 1.0 g/cm.sup.3, a modulus of 260-380 kpsi, an elongation at break of <4%, and a glass transition temperature of 54 to 138 C.; and 3) a semicrystalline olefin copolymer comprising C.sub.2-C.sub.40 monomers having a density of about 0.90 g/cm.sup.3 to about 0.96 g/cm.sup.3, a modulus less than 150 kpsi, an elongation at break of greater than 400%, and a glass transition temperatures less than 32 C.
LIQUID CRYSTALLINE POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED PRODUCT PRODUCED THEREFROM
A liquid crystalline polyester resin composition contains 10-45 parts by weight of a surface-hydrophobized spherical silica (B) with respect to 100 parts by weight of a liquid crystalline polyester res-in (A); and a molded article obtained from the liquid crystalline polyester resin composition. The liquid crystalline polyester resin composition may also contain 1 to 2.5 parts by weight of an ethylene/glycidyl methacrylate copolymer (C) with respect to 100 parts by weight of a resin composition consisting of the liquid crystalline polyester resin (A) and the surface-hydrophobized spherical silica (B). The liquid crystalline polyester resin composition has excellent sliding characteristic, adhesive characteristic and impact durability; and a molded product obtained from the liquid crystalline polyester resin composition.
