Disclosed is a thermoplastic resin composition having excellent compatibility between a base resin and additives that may prevent aggregation of a metal pigment, and a molded article including the same. Also disclosed is a molded article manufactured using the thermoplastic resin composition, which may reduce flow marks on a metallic surface, and thus appearance and gloss may be excellent, injection quality and antistatic properties may be excellent, and the molded article may be widely used in various fields such as electronics.
Thermoplastic composition having improved flame retardant properties
The invention relates to a composition comprising a) a thermoplastic matrix polymer based on one or more ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomer(s), wherein the thermoplastic polymer is selected from the group consisting of polyolefins, polystyrene, polyacrylates, ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer, and copolymers and blends of the aforementioned, b) an inorganic flame retardant, c) a polymer based on one or more ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomers and having a plurality of alkoxysilane and/or acetoxysilane groups covalently linked to the polymer, wherein the ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomers of component c) are different or have a different composition than the ethylenically unsaturated monomer(s) of component a) and d) a clay.
Polyolefin elastomer blends for elastomeric films
A thermoplastic elastomer compound includes a polyolefin elastomer blend of at least two different polyolefin elastomers, styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene block copolymer, and plasticizer. The compound has a Melt Flow Rate (230° C., 2.16 kg) of no less than about 5 g/10 min and a Melt Flow Rate (190° C., 2.16 kg) of no less than about 1 g/10 min. Elastomeric films formed from the compound can be used in place of elastomeric films based on styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS) block copolymers to make components of disposable hygiene articles.
Rubber composition and tire
Provided is a rubber composition that achieves both wet performance and low loss property while delivering excellent dry handling performance. A rubber composition comprises: a rubber component; and a styrene-alkylene block copolymer, wherein a total styrene content of the styrene-alkylene block copolymer is 30 mass % or more with respect to a total mass of the styrene-alkylene block copolymer, and the rubber component contains a styrene butadiene rubber having a styrene content of 30 mass % or more.
Thermoplastic vulcanizate composition with bi-continuous nanostructured morphology
A thermoplastic vulcanizate composition, comprising a first phase bi-continuously intertwined with from about 10 wt % to 80 wt % of a second phase throughout the composition, and from about 0.1 wt % to about 10 wt % of a curative system, the first phase comprising polypropylene and the second phase comprising an at least partially cured elastomeric rubber composition, comprising from about 10 wt % to about 40 wt % ethylene, from about 5 wt % to about 10 wt % of a conjugated diene having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms, and from about 50 wt % to about 85 wt % of a C.sub.4-C.sub.8 alpha olefin, based on the total weight of the elastomeric rubber composition present. A process for making is also disclosed.
DISSOLVABLE RUBBER
A degradable elastomeric material that is formed from a composite blend of elastomeric particles in a continuous degradable binder. The degradable binder is generally a water-soluble binder which has a temperature dependent solubility in water and brine systems. Such degradable elastomers are particularly useful in the fabrication of degradable oil tools, among other applications.
