A thermosettable casting composition, with a polymeric binder and filler particles incorporated therein, where the casting composition includes at least one essential oil.

Resin composition and use thereof

A resin composition contains a polymer whose enthalpy of fusion (ΔH) observed within a temperature range of 10° C. or higher and lower than 60° C. in differential scanning calorimetry is 30 J/g or more; and a low-molecular-weight compound whose enthalpy of fusion (ΔH) observed within a temperature range of 0° C. or higher and lower than 100° C. in differential scanning calorimetry is 30 J/g or more and whose molecular weight is 2000 or lower. A content of the low-molecular-weight compound is 3 parts by weight to 1000 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the total amount of polymer components contained in the resin composition except the low-molecular-weight compound.

MULTI-PIECE SOLID GOLF BALL

In a golf ball having a core, an intermediate layer and a cover, the core is formed primarily of a base rubber and has a diameter set in a specific range, and the intermediate layer and cover are each formed of resin materials. The core has an internal hardness such that, regarding the hardness at the core center, the hardnesses at positions located at 2 mm intervals from the core center outward up to 16 mm and the core surface hardness, the hardness differences therebetween are set within a specific range. The ball surface hardness is set so as to be higher than the surface hardness of the intermediate layer-encased sphere. This ball achieves a satisfactory distance on full shots not only with a driver, but also with a long iron or a middle iron, in addition to which it has an excellent durability to repeated impact.

CONTACT MEDIUM

Please cancel the previous Abstract and replace it with the following NEW A contact medium for use in medical and non-medical sonography, in electrocardiography, in electroencephalography, or in defibrillation, which contains 0.05 to 2.5 wt. % of a gel-forming agent, 0.05 to 3.5 wt. % of a detergent, and 0.1 to 4.0 wt. % of an emulsifier and optionally additives as well as water as the remaining element.

FIRE-RETARDANT MATERIALS

A fire-retardant material comprising from 25 to 50 wt % base oil, from 0.5 to 2.5 wt % polymer, from 0.1 to 1.0 wt % antioxidant, and from 50 to 75 wt % flame retardant.

GEL IMPREGNATED BUSHING

The present disclosure relates to a high-voltage (HV) bushing comprising a condenser core configured for surrounding a HV electrical conductor. The condenser core comprises an insulation material comprising wound layers of a permeable solid material impregnated with a thermo-reversible gel. The gel comprises an oil and a thickener, the oil comprising iso-paraffinic oil in an amount within the range of 0.1-100 wt % of the oil and the thickener comprising at least one copolymer in an amount within the range of 0.1-10 wt % of the gel.

Plasticizer composition and resin composition including same

The present invention relates to a plasticizer composition, a resin composition including the same, and a method of preparing the same. The plasticizer composition includes a cyclohexane 1,4-diester-based material; and an epoxidized alkyl ester-based material, wherein a weight ratio of the cyclohexane 1,4-diester-based material and the epoxidized alkyl ester-based material is 99:1 to 1:99, and the epoxidized alkyl ester-based material has an oxirane index (O.I.) of 1.5 or more. When the plasticizer composition is used as a plasticizer for a resin composition, properties such as plasticization efficiency, migration ability, tensile strength, elongation rate, migration upon stress, absorption rate, and the like may be improved.

FLUXING AGENTS FOR HYDROCARBON BINDERS

The invention relates to the use, as fluxing agent for bitumen compositions, of at least one compound having the formula (I)

R.sup.1C(O)OR.sup.2 (I) where: each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which may be identical or different, is a linear or branched hydrocarbon chain which does not carry an unsaturated covalent bond, optionally interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms, and optionally carrying one or more hydroxyl functions.

EXTRUDABLE POLY(PROPYLENE) COMPOSITIONS

Extrudable compositions were prepared comprising poly(propylene) and a liquid additive comprising a lactam group. The compositions can comprise other optional additives that include a polyhemiaminal, antioxidants, UV light absorbers, and surfactants. The extruded compositions have higher percent elongation at break and lower Young's modulus compared to extruded poly(propylene) lacking the liquid additive. These and other property improvements make the extruded compositions attractive for forming field joint coatings for undersea pipeline applications.

Vehicle windshield wiper blade

A vehicle windshield wiper blade comprising: a blade support portion; and a lip portion, wherein the lip portion has a tapered portion having a cross section that is taken along a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the wiper blade and that has a width that gradually decreases from a side closer to the blade support portion towards a direction farthest away from the blade support portion, the lip portion has a tip surface and first and second tapered surfaces constituting the tapered portion, and, in a specific observation region of the first and second tapered surfaces, the average value of the elastic modulus measured at a 0.1 ?m pitch is 15-470 MPa and the coefficient of variation of the elastic modulus is at most 17.6%.
