CLOSURE MECHANISMS FOR ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR AND APPAREL
A closure mechanism is moveable between unlocked and locked positions and includes a locking element coupled to the first portion of the upper and a non-deflecting projection coupled to the second portion of the upper. The locking element is configured to receive the non-deflecting projection and comprises one or more deflecting abs. The projection is moveable in a first direction relative to the locking element to engage with the locking element, thereby moving the closure mechanism to the locked position and moving the upper to the closed configuration. The projection is moveable in the first direction relative to the locking element to disengage with the locking element, thereby moving the closure mechanism to the unlocked position and allowing the upper to return to the open configuration.
FASTENER, FASTENER MONITORING SYSTEM, AND CHILD CARRIER
This application relates to a fastener, a fastener monitoring system, and a child carrier. The fastener includes a male buckle, a female buckle, and a control circuit. The fastener has a locked state in which the male buckle is snap-fitted to the female buckle and an unlocked state in which the male buckle is separated from the female buckle. The control circuit is disposed on the male buckle and/or the female buckle. The control circuit includes a wireless communication module. In response to the fastener being in the locked state, the control circuit controls the wireless communication module to transmit a wireless signal.
Cushioned support system for heel ulcer prevention
A cushioned support device includes a pad for supporting a portion of a patient's leg, a securing system coupled to the pad and configured to secure the portion of the patient's leg to the pad, and a connecting member coupled to the pad and configured to couple the cushioned support device to a second cushioned support device.
Light up buckle for use with a dog collar
The invention discloses a light up buckle for use with a dog collar. This buckle design comprises a Plastic Computer Board (PCB) which incorporates LED's, a mini-USB port, a switch and a rechargeable battery. The lithium-ion battery is housed within the buckle assembly and is protected from water by means of rubber seals when the buckle is in the closed or locked position. The main components are molded from translucent plastic, to allow the LED's to illuminate the assembly when switched on. There are multiple settings for the LED's to allow for a steady illumination or various flashing/pulsing settings. The buckle is intended for illumination at night to aid the visibility of an owner's canine that wears the buckle on the collar. The buckle can be fitted onto a collar strap or body harness and so has multiple uses and applications. The buckle design is rounded and has smooth edges to ensure no discomfort is experienced by the canine. There is a trigger switch located on the underside of the buckle which is operated by pressing a rubber button that protrudes from the plastic casing. The entire assembly is water-resistant, by means of two rubber components that interlock when the buckle is closed. The pressure between these two rubber plugs ensures water cannot get access to the electronics and battery.
Jewelry clasp
A jewelry clasp for securing a first end of an elongated member of a bracelet or a necklace to a second end of the elongated member includes a female part and a male part. One of the female and male parts includes a first magnet and the other of the female and male parts includes a part magnetically attractable by the first magnet. The female part includes a housing and a hinged lid, the hinged lid being pivotable between a locking state and a releasing state and including the first magnet or the part magnetically attractable by the first magnet. When the female part is open, the male part can be inserted in an axial direction into the housing, and when the female part is closed and the male part is inserted into the housing, the male part is locked to the female part.
Buckle with secondary latch
A two-component buckle having a male component and a female component, the female component having a housing with a bore located at a mating end of the housing, the bore being oriented along a lateral axis of the housing; and the male member having a keeper element that fits within the bore to latch the male and female components together is disclosed herein. A latching mechanism is slidingly disposed within the housing and includes a latch pawl with a latching leg that is biased over the bore in the housing, serving as a secondary latch to help prevent the keeper element from being inadvertently disengaged from the bore.
Belt or strap fastener
A fastener for a belt or strap that is configured to be operable with a single hand wherein the fastener includes a body having a first portion and a second portion. The body of the fastener is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position the first portion and second portion are compressed against each other. In the second position the second portion is moved away from the first portion to create a void therebetween of suitable width to journal a portion of a strap or belt therethrough. A first arm member is secured between the first portion and second portion and is arcuate in shape. A second arm member, arcuate in shape, is secured between the first portion and second portion of the body. A gripping member is present on the first portion of the body.
BUCKLE COMPONENT
A buckle component (1, 2) having a main body (3) and a clamping web (4), the main body (3) having a belt-receiving opening (5), and the clamping web (4) being mounted displaceably on the main body (3) in the belt-receiving opening (5) for clamping a belt (6), which is guided around the clamping web (4), between the clamping web (4) and an edge (7) of the main body (3) bounding the belt-receiving opening (5). The buckle component (1, 2) additionally has a flap (8) which is mounted pivotably on the main body (3) by a pivot joint (9), and the flap (8) has a clamping surface (10) for clamping the belt (6) between the clamping surface (10) of the flap (8) and the clamping web (4) in a clamping position of the flap (8).
Flexible interlocking closure
An apparatus includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion generally comprises a channel feature. The second portion generally comprises a rib feature. The rib feature is generally configured to fit within the channel feature.
Magnetic clasp system
A magnetic clasp system, having a clasping assembly, which includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and a pin defining a patch configured to receive a strap, and wherein the bottom portion includes a magnetically responsive material. The magnetic clasp system also including a mounting assembly, the mounting assembly including a magnetically responsive material configured to draw the clasping assembly and the mounting assembly together when within a magnetic field thereof.
