SELECTIVE POLYURETHANE PREPOLYMER SYNTHESIS
The present invention relates to a selective process for producing polyurethane prepolymers, to the polyurethane prepolymers obtainable from this process, and also to a process for producing moisture-crosslinking silylated polymers, more particularly silane-functional hybrid polymers, and also to the use thereof in CASE sectors (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers).
Cross-linked polyolefin separator and manufacturing method thereof
A method for manufacturing a crosslinked polyolefin separator and the crosslinked polyolefin separator obtained therefrom are provided. The method includes non-grafted polyolefin having a weight average molecular weight of 300,000 or more and silane-grafted polyolefin having a weight average molecular weight of 300,000 or more. The method minimizes gel formation, a side reaction occurring in an extruder during the manufacture of the separator, and provides the separator having a uniform surface.
PV Module with Film Layer Comprising Micronized Silica Gel
The present disclosure provides a photovoltaic module. In an embodiment, the photovoltaic module includes a photovoltaic cell, and a layer composed of a film. The film includes a silane-grafted polyolefin (Si-g-PO) resin composition comprising (i) one or more silane grafted polyolefins and (ii) from greater than 0 wt % to less than 5.0 wt % of a micronized silica gel, based on the total weight of the Si-g-PO resin composition. The film has a glass adhesion greater than or equal to 15 N/mm after aging the film at 40° C. and 0% relative humidity for 60 days as measured in accordance with ASTM F88/88M-09.
POLYMER COMPOUND, INTERMEDIATE COMPOSITION, NEGATIVE ELECTRODE, ELECTRICITY STORAGE DEVICE, SLURRY FOR NEGATIVE ELECTRODES, METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYMER COMPOUND, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING NEGATIVE ELECTRODE
A polymer compound, which is used as a binder for a negative electrode of an electricity storage device, is obtained by condensation of a vinyl polymer that contains a carboxyl group and a third compound that is selected from among an aromatic multifunctional amine, phosphorous acid, phosphorous acid ester, trialkoxysilane, and phosphoric acid.
Optically Transparent Superhydrophobic Thin Film
A composition that is easily applied, clear, well-bonded, and superhydrophobic is disclosed. In one aspect, the composition includes a hydrophobic fluorinated solvent, a binder comprising a hydrophobic fluorinated polymer, and hydrophobic fumed silica nanoparticles. Also disclosed is a structure including a substrate coated with the composition, as well as a method for making the composition and a method of coating a substrate with the composition.
Polyolefin composition
A polyolefin composition comprising a polyolefin polymer, an alkenyl-functional monocyclic organosiloxane, and an organic peroxide; products made therefrom; methods of making and using same; and articles containing same.
RADIATION CURABLE AND PRINTABLE POLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to radiation or dual radiation/moisture curable compositions based on (meth)acrylate- and silane-terminated polyorganosiloxanes that can be used as 3D printing materials and provide isotropic and elastomeric properties. The invention further relates to the use thereof as 3D printing materials and printing methods using said compositions.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING THERMOSET FOAMS FOR SHOE SOLES
A footwear article is provided. The footwear article includes a shoe sole. The shoe sole includes a crosslinked foam polyolefin elastomer having a density less than 0.88 g/cm.sup.3, the crosslinked foam polyolefin elastomer including: a silane-grafted polyolefin elastomer, a silane-grafted olefin block copolymer, a polyolefin elastomer (POE), an olefin block copolymer (OBC), or a combination thereof; an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer; a crosslinker; a condensation catalyst; and a foaming agent. The shoe sole exhibits a compression set of from about 1.0% to about 50.0%, as measured according to ASTM D 395 (48 hrs @ 50° C.).
SEALING MATERIAL FOR SOLAR CELL MODULES, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed are a sealing material for solar cell modules and a manufacturing method thereof capable of endowing good transparency and heat resistance to the sealing material for solar cell modules while using a polyethylene-based resin. The disclosed sealing material for solar cell modules uses a polyethylene-based resin with a density of 0.900 g/cm3 or less, and an MFR between 0.1 g/10 min and 1.0 g/10 min. The sealing material is obtained by melt molding a resin composition containing a polyethylene-based resin with density 0.890 g/cm3 or less, and a polymerization initiator contained at 0.02 mass % or more but less than 0.5 mass % of the composition, wherein the density difference of the resin composition before and after the melt molding is within 0.05 g/cm3, and the MFR difference of the resin composition before and after the melt molding is 1.0 g/10 min or greater.
