MOUNTING BASE FOR A WIRELESSLY LOCATABLE TAG
A mounting base for use with a wirelessly locatable tag may include a base portion defining a latching member configured to engage a wirelessly locatable tag to releasably retain the wirelessly locatable tag to the mounting base, a contact block attached to the base portion and configured to be positioned at least partially within a battery cavity of the wirelessly locatable tag, the contact block defining a top side and a peripheral side. The mounting base may further include a first conductive member positioned along the peripheral side of the contact block and configured to contact a first battery contact in the battery cavity of the wirelessly locatable tag, a second conductive member outwardly biased from the top side of the contact block, the second conductive member configured to contact a second battery contact in the battery cavity of the tag, and a power cable coupled to the base portion.
MAGNETIC FASTENER PROVIDING ELECTRICAL CONNECTION AND HAVING FEMALE MEMBER WITH SOLID COVER
An electrically conductive magnetic snap fastener for releasably coupling a first material to a second material, the fastener including a male fastening element having a stud and stud flange affixable to the first material, and a female fastening element affixable to the second material and including a cover and a magnet disposed within a cavity defined by the cover, and defining a channel into which the stud is insertable, the female fastening element being electrically conductive at least in a portion disposed for electrically conductive contact with the male fastening element when the stud is inserted in the channel, and the cover being a unitary member of electrically conductive metal, wherein the channel is a distally closed and proximally open socket defined by a continuous wall portion of the cover for receiving the stud and preventing passage of liquid through the channel to the magnet.
MAGNETIC FASTENERS
A magnetic snap fastener for releasably coupling a first material to a second material. The fastener includes a first fastening assembly affixable to the first material, and disposed in a first water-resistant enclosure. The fastener includes in one embodiment a second fastening assembly affixable to the second material. The first and second fastening assemblies each include a ferromagnetic eyelet having an integrally formed flange and protrusion magnetically coupled to a toroidal-shaped magnet. Alternatively, the second fastening assembly is a ferromagnetic cap or button. The first and second fastening assemblies provide magnetic coupling to releasably couple the first and second materials.
Attaching Apparatus and Method for Attaching Attachment Object to Fabric Using Fastening Member
An attaching apparatus, which attaches an attachment object to a fabric using a fastening member, includes at least one pair of first holding members configured to hold an attachment object and a first die configured to hold the attachment object at a terminal of a die main body. The first die moves such that the attachment object, held at the at least one pair of first holding members, is held at the terminal of the die main body and then the attachment object is placed onto the fabric. The attachment object is transferred from the at least one pair of first holding members to the first die at a position distanced away from the fabric.
Sew-on magnetic fasteners
A magnetic snap fastener for releasably coupling a first material to a second material. The fastener includes a first fastening assembly affixable to the first material, the first fastening assembly including a first ferromagnetic eyelet having an integrally formed flange and protrusion magnetically coupled to a first toroidal-shaped magnet, the first fastening assembly disposed in a first water-resistant enclosure, and a second fastening assembly affixable to the second material, the second fastening assembly including a second ferromagnetic eyelet having an integrally formed flange and protrusion magnetically coupled to a second toroidal-shaped magnet having an oppositely poled orientation relative to the first magnet, the second fastening assembly disposed in a second water-resistant enclosure. The first and second fastening assemblies providing magnetic coupling to releasably couple the first and second materials.
Snap fastener with a differentiated buttoning and unbuttoning effort female part
A snap fastener, of the type comprising a female part (2) including a spring (11, 11a, 11b) and a male part (4) including a stem (5) for engagement with the spring, wherein a chamber (10, 10a, 10b) is provided for housing the spring and including shoulders (12, 12a, 12b) on a buttoning side, the shoulders having a length (L1) longer than a length (L2) of shoulders (13, 13a, 13b) arranged on the opposite side. Thus, a differentiated effort buttoning and unbuttoning mechanism between the stem (5) and the spring (11) is achieved. With respect to prior snap fasteners, the inventive snap fastener provides the advantage of requiring very small buttoning efforts, much smaller than those necessary for unbuttoning the snap fastener, thereby facilitating the snap fastener closing operation while providing a tightness closure upon having buttoned the snap fastener male and female parts.
Cap, button group and method for forming button group
There is provided a cap, which is one part of a button fastener. The cap comprises a bottom and a circumferential side rising from an edge of the bottom. The cap is composed of an inner layer made of aluminum or aluminum alloy as a first material and an outer layer made of copper or copper alloy as a second material. The first and second layer are laminated on each other continuously across the bottom and the circumferential side. A Vickers hardness of the second material may be harder than a Vickers hardness of the first material. A tensile strength of the first material may be less than 260 N/mm2, and a tensile strength of the second material may be equal to or higher than 260 N/mm2.
