Composition, coating method, and multilayer structure
The composition of the present invention includes tungsten oxide particle, inorganic particle other than tungsten oxide particle, and a solvent. The inorganic particle is preferably made of a clay mineral. The clay mineral is preferably bentonite, saponite, or mica. The volume median diameter (D.sub.50) of the tungsten oxide particle is preferably 0.01 μm or more and 10.0 μm or less.

The invention further relates to refractory paints comprising said compositions, and to methods for preparing said paints.

An emulsion composition includes an acrylic polymer, a metal silicate, and water. Advantageously, the emulsion composition provides coatings with superior adhesion of coatings to a concrete, clay, or ceramic substrate. In particular, the emulsion composition provides improved adhesion of the silicate primer to the concrete, clay, or ceramic substrate and strong cohesion between the primer and top coat paint allow for a much better overall performance. The present invention relates to a fire resistant paint composition, to a production method for same and to a painting method for a fire resistant paint using same, and, one example of implementation of the present invention can provide a fire resistant paint composition comprising: between 70 and 95 wt. % of a binder; between 1 and 10 wt. % of an aerogel; between 1 and 5 wt. % of a foaming agent; and the remainder of water, and can provide a production method for same and a painting method for a fire resistant paint using same.

The present disclosure relates to one-pot, water-based/waterborne dry erasable paints, anti-graffiti paints, and surfaces. The dry erasable paints can be used to create dry erase coatings on virtually any type of substrate surface. The paints comprise an Si-containing compound, water, and an ingredient selected from the group consisting of binders, acids, salts, surfactants, and glycerin, and create a dry surface where the flexibility, adhesion, dye resistance, and chemical resistance best matches the substrate and use.

Chromate-free ceramic compositions with reduced curing temperature
Hexavalent chromium-free slurries are provided that are capable of achieving a full cure at temperatures as low as 330-450 degrees F., thus making the coatings especially suitable for application on temperature sensitive base materials. The slurries are suitable in the production of protective coating systems formed by novel silicate-based basecoats that are sealed with novel phosphate-based topcoats. The coating systems exhibit acceptable corrosion and heat resistance and are capable of replacing traditional chromate-containing coating systems.
