BUILDING STRUCTURE WINDOW WITH OPTICALLY TRANSPARENT AND SELF-COOLING COATINGS

The invention relates to a window for a building structure containing optically transparent and self-cooling coatings on a substrate. The optically transparent and self-cooling coatings has a multi-layered structure including a passive cooling layer, a near-infrared radiation absorption layer and a near-infrared radiation reflecting layer. The optically transparent and self-cooling coatings have a visible light transmittance of more than approximately 70%. In addition, an air temperature under the window under ventilation condition is reduced by at least approximately 2° C., and an air temperature under the window under insulated condition is reduced by at least approximately 8° C.

The present invention relates to a water-based coating composition, the preparation and use of the composition, a two-component coating system comprising the composition and use thereof, and an article obtained by coating with the composition or the two-component coating system. The water-based coating composition comprises a water-based UV resin; a silane-treated nanosized silicon oxide compound; and a photoinitiator; wherein per kilogram of the solid constituent of the water-based UV resin contains not less than 3 mol of ethylenically unsaturated groups, and wherein the weight ratio of the solid constituent of the nanosized silicon oxide compound to the solid constituent of the water-based UV resin is 11:20 to 73:100. The coating layer formed by the water-based coating composition of the present invention has high hardness and good adhesion, and is particularly suitable for electronic, electrical and communication equipment in the 5G field.

Film for blocking ultraviolet rays

The present invention relates to a film for blocking ultraviolet rays that has excellent light resistance, thus exhibiting stable UV blocking performance for a long time, and has a low haze value, and thus is suitable for protecting an organic light emitting device and the like from the external light source.

Anti-microbial and UV-protective extracts and methods of making and using thereof

Described herein are anti-microbial and UV-protective biological devices and extracts produced therefrom. The biological devices include microbial cells transformed with a DNA construct containing genes for producing proteins such as, for example, zinc-related protein/oxidase, silicatein, silaffin, and alcohol dehydrogenase. In some instances, the biological devices also include a gene for lipase. Methods for producing and using the devices are also described herein. Finally, compositions and methods for using the devices and extracts to kill microbial species or prevent microbial growth and to reduce or prevent UV-induced damage or exposure to materials, items, plants, and human and animal subjects are described herein. Also disclosed are biological devices producing polyactive carbohydrates and carbo sugars, as well as compositions and articles incorporating both extracts from these devices and the anti-microbial and UV-protective extracts.

NON-FOAMED COATED TEXTILE AND METHOD OF MAKING

A non-foamed aqueous composition can be applied to fabric substrates to provide non-foamed light-attenuating coatings in resulting coated fabric substrates that produce reduced glare from incident outside light. The non-foamed aqueous composition used to make these coated fabric substrates has a 5-50% solids and a zero shear viscosity of 100-1000 mPa-sec at 25° C. This composition has components i) through iv): i) porous particles at 0.1-20 weight %, and optionally an opacifying colorant; ii) a film-forming binder material comprising at least a chlorinated polymer at 4-20 weight %; iii) a white inorganic particulate filler material having a refraction index (RI) greater than 2 and a median particle size of less than 1 μm, at 5-16 weight %; and iv) a white low-density particulate hydrated alumina having a median particle size of less than or equal to 3 μm, at 2-16 weight %.
