Also disclosed is a system for treating a metal substrate that includes the conversion composition and a sealing composition comprising a lithium cation. Also disclosed is a method for treating a metal substrate that includes contacting at least a portion of a surface of the substrate with the conversion composition and then contacting at least a portion of the surface of the substrate with the sealing composition. Also disclosed is a substrate obtainable by treatment with the system and/or obtainable by the method of treating.
STYRENE-FREE AND COBALT-FREE POLYMERIC COMPOSITION AND ITS USE FOR FILLING AND BONDING
A styrene-free and cobalt compound-free polymeric composition and its use for filling and bonding, particularly in car repairing, bonding and repairing of marble and granite, modeling, manufacture of molds and models, structural bondings of composite material, and in the nautical and wind power field, includes an unsaturated polyester resin or a urethane acrylate-based resin and combinations thereof.
Unsaturated polyester composition for autobody repair with improved adhesion to metal substrates
A vehicle body repair formulation is provided that includes a polyester resin having a degree of unsaturation of between 25 and 100 molecule percent based on total acid and anhydride content. The polyester resin is dissolved or suspended in a monomer reactive diluent. Microspheroids are provided to enhance the sandability of a cured formulation. An initiator package is also provided. The reactive diluent/monomer can be chosen to be non-stryrenic to improve performance properties. A process for repairing a vehicle body is provided using ambient conditions alone or in combination with thermal source to aid in cure after applied to the vehicle body in need of repair.

Liquid silicone coating for barrels used for aging alcoholic beverages
A liquid coating composition of matter for application to wooden barrels or casks used in distilling, the composition of matter includes a polymer vulcanized with a silane crosslinking agent that is oxime-functional, acetoxy-functional, or alkoxy-functional, an OH-terminated polysiloxane that exhibits moisture curing, condensation reactions when in the presence of water vapors and silane crosslinkers, a low to medium molecular weight polysiloxane that exhibits low-permeance after curing via moisture-cure, condensation reaction, a transition metal catalyst that provides a reaction crosslink density that allows for minimal transport of ethanol vapors and water vapors after curing, a second transition metal catalyst that provides a reaction crosslink density with minimal impact on the rate of oxygen gas transport rate after curing, and inorganic polymers with a siloxane backbone that exhibits no leaching, migration or notable reaction with a liquid alcohol and water mixture upon curing.
Catalyst for extended work time filler composition
A free radical cure catalyst composition is provided that includes a free radical cure catalyst present as a paste at 20? C. A cure inhibitor is dissolved in a solvent compatible with the free radical cure catalyst paste to form an inhibitor solution that is mixed into the paste. A filler composition is also provided that includes an ethylenically unsaturated resin, a crosslinking agent; and the free radical cure catalyst composition. A method of repairing a vehicle body is provided that includes an uncured layer of the composition as noted above is applied to a substrate. The uncured layer is modified during a working time of from 8 to 35 minutes. The uncured layer is allowed to cure under free radical conditions to form a cured layer.
