Water-Resistant Exterior Joint Compounds
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to joint compounds for sealing exterior sheathing wallboards applied on the exterior of buildings. This invention also relates to a process of preparing such exterior joint compounds. The joint compounds of this invention comprise an aqueous emulsion system and provide water resistance comparable to the substrate on which they are applied, that is, the exterior sheathing wallboards.
COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING WOOD RAILROAD TIES
A composition and method for maintenance of railroad wood ties is presented herein. The wood filler composition is applicable for filling holes or gaps in wood to stabilize wood structures. The composition comprises at least unintahite, also known as asphaltum or Gilsonite, and sand. The composition may further comprise a water repellant and a wood preservative. The composition is non-carcinogenic.

Low dust additives comprising emulsified powder for joint compounds and joint compounds thereof
The present invention relates generally to wall repair compounds such as joint compounds, spackling compounds, and the like used to repair imperfections in walls or fill joints between adjacent wallboard panels. Particularly, the present invention relates to such a wall repair compound comprising a dust reduction additive that reduces the quantity of airborne dust generated when the hardened compound is sanded and also exhibits improved adhesive properties. The dust reduction additive also imparts adhesion to the wall repair compounds to which it is added, for example to a joint compound. The dust reduction additive is a powder prepared from colloidally-protected, wax-based microstructure dispersions.

COMPOSITION FOR SEALING COATED ELECTRIC WIRE, AND COATED ELECTRIC WIRE
A composition for sealing coated electric wire includes a 2-cyanoacrylate compound containing an alkyl-2-cyanoacrylate having an alkyl group with ≥ 2 carbon atoms, and a 2-cyanoacrylate having an ether bond in an ester residue (≥ 10 mass% relative to 100 mass% of the total of the 2-cyanoacrylate compound),and a thickener, and exhibiting a suction length of 7-42 mm when a tip of a capillary tube (120 mm length and an inner diameter of 1.05 mm) is immersed in a bath solution of 30 mm in depth of the composition for 2 seconds and pulled up, and then the capillary tube is left to stand for 24 hours wherein the capillary tube is placed so that a longitudinal direction of the capillary tube is horizontal with respect to a gravity direction. A sealed coated electric wire is provided. Excellent heat resistance, moisture heat resistance, and thermal shock resistance exhibited upon curing.
