METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CATIONIC ELECTRODEPOSITION COATING COMPOSITION
An object of the present invention is to find a method for producing a cationic electrodeposition coating composition that is excellent in storage stability, low-temperature curability, finished appearance, and corrosion resistance, and to provide a coated article excellent in these properties. The method for producing a cationic electrodeposition coating composition comprises mixing three components, i.e., an aqueous dispersion of an amino group-containing epoxy resin (A), an aqueous dispersion of a blocked polyisocyanate compound (B), and a pigment dispersion paste (C), wherein the aqueous dispersion of a blocked polyisocyanate compound (B) comprises a blocked polyisocyanate compound (b) and an emulsifier.
Stand-and-spray foam delivery method and device thereof
A stand-and-spray foam delivery method and device for creating a foam line on a hard surface, such as an athletic playing field, while a user is standing in an upright position. The method provides a vanishing foam formula comprising a relatively high level of surfactant in an aerosol can having an actuator device with a cylindrical actuator orifice that has a round opening and long and straight sidewalls. Actuating the device causes the formula to exit the aerosol can through the actuator orifice without agitation thus maintaining a stream of formula that does not turn to foam until it contacts a surface
ELECTRODEPOSITION COATED ARTICLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A method for producing an electrodeposition coated article, in which an insulating film is formed by forming an insulating layer on a surface of an article to be coated according to an electrodeposition method by using an electrodeposition coating material, and then by performing a baking treatment, the electrodeposition coating material contains a solvent containing polyamide imide and an organic solvent added to the electrodeposition coating material, a boiling point of the organic solvent is higher than 100° C., and a Hansen solubility parameter is similar to the polyamide imide and has high compatibility.

Cationic paint additives
The invention relates to process for the reduction of corrosion of base metals comprising coating the surfaces of a base metal part with a cathodic electrodeposition paint comprising a cationic paint additive C which is a plastified reaction product of epoxide resins E and amines A, wherein the reaction products of epoxides E and amines A further comprise moieties of aromatic or aliphatic dihydroxy or polyhydroxy compounds D, and preferably also of fatty acids F having from six to thirty carbon atoms, and optionally, one or more olefinic unsaturations, and wherein at least a part of the plastifier P is incorporated by chemical reaction within the reaction products of epoxide resins E and amines A.
Method of forming a multi-layer paint film
A multi-layer paint film satisfies paint film performance, such as water resistance, impact resistance and the like, required of an automobile paint film and which has excellent paint film appearance is obtained. The method comprises coating an aqueous first base paint (A) over an electrodeposited cured paint film to form a first base paint film, and then coating an aqueous second base paint (B) over the first base paint film without carrying out preliminary drying by heating after forming the first base paint film to form a second base paint film, preliminary drying by heating is carried out after forming the second base paint film, coating a single-liquid type clear paint (C) over the second base paint film to form a clear coat paint film. These three paint film layers are heated and cured at the same time.
DIRECT-TO-METAL COMPOSITION
A fast drying, heavy metal-free, high performance coating composition with outstanding UV resistance, and excellent corrosion resistance coupled with fast dry and long pot life. This coating can be applied over DTM, such as blasted cold rolled steel, or treated cold rolled steel, aluminum and treated aluminum. High corrosion resistance without sacrificing gloss or UV resistance achieved by selecting proper pigments and proper pigment design and packing by advantageously utilizing differing pigment morphologies (sizes and shape).
