Disclosed herein are a solvent composition and methods of using the solvent composition. The solvent composition includes at least 80 wt. % of trans-1,2-dichloroetheylene (t-DCE), and 0.1 to 20 wt. % of at least one organic compound. The organic compound may be a hydrocarbon and/or an oxygenated solvent. The solvent composition may be used to clean a surface by contacting the surface with the composition to dissolve a contaminant on the surface. The composition may be used to remove a coating from a surface of a substrate by contacting the surface with the solvent composition to dissolve the coating and removing the composition containing the coating from the surface. The composition may also be used to deposit material on a substrate by dissolving the material in the solvent composition, applying the composition containing the material onto the substrate, and evaporating the composition from the substrate.

TRANSFER MATERIAL LAYERS FOR GRAPHENE FABRICATION PROCESS

Embodiments herein relate to methods and systems for applying a transfer material layer to graphene during a graphene fabrication process. In an embodiment, a method of producing a graphene sensor element is included. The method includes forming a graphene layer on a growth substrate and applying a fluoropolymer coating layer over the graphene layer. The method includes removing the growth substrate and transferring the graphene and fluoropolymer coating layers onto a transfer substrate, where the graphene layer is disposed on the transfer substrate and the fluoropolymer layer is disposed on the graphene layer. The method also includes removing the fluoropolymer coating layer. Other embodiments are also included herein.

Highly transparent coated cellulose triacetate film and dissolver medium

A coated, highly transparent film based on cellulose triacetate, is proposed that includes a) a support film acting as support layer and a cellulose triacetate or a mixture of cellulose esters and cellulose triacetate as main component, the cellulose triacetate or mixture being defined by a haze value of <0.5%, measured on the cellulose triacetate or mixture drawn out to a film after having been dissolved in dichloromethane or acetone, and b) a multi-functional coating applied in a coating solution to one or both sides of the support film. A dissolver medium can also be used as an enclosure medium. The highly transparent films of the invention can be used as window film, sunglasses film, laminating film, furniture foil, enclosing film, slide film for microscopy, cover slip replacement film and/or protective film, adhesive to glass, wood, metal, ceramic, cellulose derivative films or plastics following incipient dissolution or heat treatment.
