The present invention relates to a solid tempera and to the method for manufacturing the same, which includes a dispersion of resin having a concentration value of 10% to 70%, sodium stearate having a concentration of 10% to 20%, glycerine having a concentration value of 4% to 20%, water having a concentration of 7% to 50%, a pigment having a concentration value of 5% to 15%, an anti-foaming agent having a concentration of 1% to 3%, and a biocide having a concentration of 0.10% to 0.4%, the above concentration values relating to the final product. The tempera of the invention is used for painting or drawing on a substrate such as paper, Bristol board, wood or cardboard, being applied directly to said substrates without having to add water.

Disclosed herein are biodegradable compositions comprising 1,3-propanediol, wherein the 1,3-propanediol in said biodegradable composition has a bio-based carbon content of about 1% to 100%. In addition, it is preferred that the 1,3-propanediol be biologically-derived, and wherein upon biodegradation, the biologically-derived 1,3-propanediol contributes no anthropogenic CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.

Provided is a writing instrument in which condensation does not occur in a cap even though the writing instrument is equipped with the cap and which has high writing instrument quality and commercial value. The writing instrument includes at least a barrel in which an aqueous ink is contained; a pen tip provided on a tip side of the barrel and capable of discharging the aqueous ink; and a cap that is removably attached on a pen tip side of the barrel, wherein the aqueous ink has a vapor pressure of 10.3 to 12.3 kPa at 50 C.

The present invention concerns a solvent-free photocrosslinkable writing ink advantageously for a pen, comprising, as a percentage by weight relative to the total weight of the ink: abetween 40 and 75% of a photocrosslinkable acrylate and/or methacrylate oligomer, bbetween 1 and 55%, optionally, of a photocrosslinkable acrylate and/or methacrylate monomer, cbetween 0.5 and 6% of a photoinitiator, dbetween 1 and 10% of a dye, advantageously a basic dye, and ebetween 0 and 10% of an additive.

It further concerns a method for securing a writing medium using said ink, the crosslinked ink obtained by crosslinking said ink and a pen for photo-crosslinkable ink comprising said ink.
